Does any here like college basketball more than the NBA?

Oh yeah, here's a topic of disscussion, the 2006 top "projected" draft picks of ESPN are....

1. LaMarcus Aldridge (Texas)
2. Rudy Gay (Uconn)
3. Adam Morrison (Gonzaga)
4. Tyrus Thomas (LSU)
5. Andrea Bargnani (Italy)

ESPN doesn't even think JJ Redick will be in the top ten which I disagree with. They predict he'll be drafted in the mid first round.
I think LeBrons goin MVP

J.j. Reddick's a great college player...but NBA ? He'll be average. Look at Casey Jacobsen, Luke Walton, and Kirk Heinrich(who's doin good, and injured), but they weren't top 5 prospects.

I don't know if I could agree with what your saying. Kirk Heinrich is the only descent you mentioned. I think I have to side with my man JJ. I think he'll be a star his rookie season depending who drafts him.

It makes a good arguement. 3nodding
man there are no good rookies at the top stressed

i agree when you think about its big men are what teams are looking for most teaams are in need of more defense jj is more of a scorer and is not really what teams will be really looking for in the first few picks
Yeahh teams are looking for power big men, and also players who are more well rounded. But on the other hand there could players deep into the draft that have alot of talent for example Kevin Martin (26th overall) and Josh Howard (29th Overall) who have really progressed since being Drafted.

I agree with what your saying, that the most teams are looking for big men their first few picks....However, a shooter like JJ is not a player you come across every year. That is why its tough to pass up a player that can shoot like JJ.
Exactly. Redick is just a shooter. A pure shooter. Most teams don't need a pure shooter. They need either a big strong inside player, or a player that can penetrate the defense and also get to the hoop, aka LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Gay, and Adam Morrison.
Hey, why is it that Francisco Garcia is not on this list question He is better than all these fools exclaim exclaim
Fransico Garcia has already been Drafted By SAC hes a pretty good shooter so far, he'll need to work on defense and other aspects of the game
basketball kicks a** xp
I don't follow NCAA as much as I follow NBA sad

But JJ Reddick, unfortunately, seems like he might be one of those players who were great in NCAA, but kinda taper off in the NBA. You have to admit, to the general fanbase of basketball, he seems very one-dimensional. His forte is the 3-point shot, and he doesn't have a whole lot of size or athleticism on him. But who knows, if he can work on his athleticism a bit, and some playmaking skills, he could end up being a Steve Nash-type player, or a consistent PG/SG.

I don't think he'll be picked top 5, though; shooters are a lot more common than big men, and all-around players who change the game.
