I can see the Nuggets very much so beating the Cavs.

I mean the Cavs played agianst the worst team in the playoffs and then they played agianst another team that basically resort to one on one.
Against a defense thats geared to make you shoot jumpers. But all that considered of course the Cavs are good but Nuggets have a ton of fire power here and versatility coming off the bench. The Cavs have role players but the guys coming off the denver bench are real energy that fuels both sides. (not to mention they are just more talented) If they win the Championship this year it'd be no surprise.

If Rockets still had Yao and beat the Lakers I'd put money on them beating the Cavs for sure.
LA of course they have a chance but I'm not even confident if they can stay at a high level before the Finals. I think if they get to the Finals they'd be reeling but right now its not looking that great for them to get out of the West or at least not as well as before. (not saying they won't)

Nuggets don't have the experience though, with the exception of Billups and Martin. They've been out of the first round, and out of the second against a Mavs team which didn't have any business playing them.

Rockets might beat the Cavs though, with Shane Battier and Ron Artest taking turns making Lebron work for his shots. But no Yao Ming, no shot. I see the Lakeshow beating the Cavs if somehow they solve the PG situation and be cohesive again, on both sides of the floor.
This feels a lot like that Pistons team from 04 and a team on a roll I can't doubt. (except take a bit of the defensive mindset and give them more offensive versatility)
Experience is overrated sometimes to me. It will be a factor but everything I think boils down to whos the better team.

Mavs were much better than people wanted to give credit to. And they're definitively better than the Hawks and Pistons.

Jordan Farmar needs to take over for Fisher. Its not as if Fish is completely running that team so they need some speed there. Because he really has been declining at least since last year or with the Jazz he is slowing. If the Lakers get to the Finals I'm going to assume they turned it on because they can't beat the Nuggets without matching their energy.
Here is how I feel about the remaining teams Chances...

Mavs- No shot, Josh Howard is playing on TWO bad ankles.

Rockets- Nah not without Yao and not without a guy who can score 20 from the perimeter. Maybe next year. But Rockets will fight fight fight.

Nuggets- They have a shot, but I don't see them beating the Lakers. Rockets do a good job against the Lakers because they have TWO guys who can slow Kobe down. If you don't have a guy who can do that then he just runs buck wild and plays with your team. Dahnty Jones or watever his name is, he's a GOOD defender on ball. Just don't see him stopping Kobe. He's really good though, maybe better on ball then Brewer. Brewer gave Kobe some problems but not enough.

Lakers- I think they are the best team in the West right now, but I wonder how mentally strong the team is we will just have to find out.

Magic- They have a shot. People forget they match up well with the Cavs as no one in the NBA...besides Houston...has a guy who can contain Dwight. The problem with the Magic is they have just lost homecourt to a team I don't plan on doubting.

Celtics- Not beating the Cavs...

Cavs- This team is scary good right now but lets just remember last season. The Celtics looked like the team having problems. 7 game series with the Hawks and Cavs and a tough series against Detroit. While the Lakers on the other side pretty much run through the competition. Who was ready?

I think the Cavs and Lakers will be a excellent series if it happens. Yeah Lakers look out of sorts right now but sometimes you need to get hit in the mouth to realize what needs to be done.

Oh yeah I like the Cavs to win it. I think they play better team defense than the Rockets but unlike the Rockets they have a guy who can and will take over the game. Yao can do that...but one he's hurt and two they hardly give him the ball to do it.
~Set your focus and take hold of that which you seek

The Cavs are just going to wreck everyone. LeBron and his team are in sync like no other right now, and LeBron has improved on those little shooting problems of his from last year. No doubt, Cavs will take it for sure. Let's see Kobe get achance to play around with this team, it's not going to happen.

The Magic are the Cavs' biggest threat imo.

I like the Lakers matchups on the Cavs too. The Lakers do have a bad one vs the Rockets but still there are stretches where you can question effort. And Denver is a team that also has no problem scoring but they seem like the team more so thats on a mission to me.

But I think when the Lakers feel like they are being presented with a legitimate challenge they are the best team in the league. And I don't think the Cavs can force their pace easily like these first two series on a Laker team or Denver team as effectively.

I won't be surprised by the Nuggets hoisting the trophy. I pick Denver to be contrary to ESPN.

The reason I liked the Magic early on in the season (not to win the championship of course) was because of the matchup problems. Boston-Cleveland to me they had them. And Jameer was really the leader of that team some people talking about Hedo being Mr. 4th quarter Nelson was the one to me that really helped make that happen. Not to mention he was cold blooded himself. Who knows how well that team would of progressed.
But I'm surprised that Van Gundy didn't stick to pushing the tempo when it worked so great whenever they did. But they are a different team with Jameer.

Anyway not to say whoever comes out of the west should be the favorite but I'm a bit hesitant to give the Cavs this much credit. I want to see them vs Orlando.

Nope, Spurs gave Lebron a fit in the 2007 Finals remember? Threw everyone at him, and everyone did well, and it transcended to a 4-0 sweep.

Very different Cavaliers team this year. If they all go for Lebron, they leave Mo Williams open, and Delante West, or maybe Joe Smith or Sczerbiak.

Gregg Popovich knows the Cavs team better than anyone else. He would've found a way.

I still think the cavs would've won. Though it would've been close.
Game 5 between Lakers and Rockets today.

If Phil Jackson doesn't start Farmar instead of Fisher this time, it will prove how bad of a coach he is.

i would love nothing more then to see houston get up on lakers, considering theyve been winning without tmac and yao i would love to see them win, i find it funny the first time houston gets out first round of finals tmac is injured haha. Cavs will take the title its clear, if boston had garnet it might be a different story though.
People REALLY got their money on the Cavs. Just like I did on the Lakers last Season!(Guess what happened.)

APOLIGIZATION!
MORE!
