Ok well actually shaq is good in the paint, but if he goes outside the paint he turns. Horrible and he can not do anything. Cause he was taught to score in the paint and that is what he does.
back in the day he was a presence on the whole paint but now he just dunks and makes tip ins
oh i guess you never saw shaq in his laker days and in his college high skool days
when shaq was in high skool he was kevin garnetts size and he can just syke anyone out with cross overs
when he was playing for the lakers i saw this move he did he was the 3pt line he faked side stepped the opponet fell it he got passed him and slamed it home
According to the GM of the Phoenix Suns, he stated saying that the USA team was being built around Kobe Bryant. WTF's up with that? And how can you invite Lamar Odom over Allen Iverson? It just doesn't make any sense.

i support the notion that the team is being built around kobe...first of all kobe is dedicated to get the gold back for Team USA and plus he has a chip on his shoulder knowing that not everyone likes...this way if he does redeem Team USA he would at least gain credibility and at least some forgiveness for what has happened in the past (btw im not a kobe fan but i respect the man for his love for the game and killer instinct to win)
as for lamar being picked over iverson....since the team is being built around kobe why not bring in one of kobe's teammates...they already know each other and will be comfortable playing side by side...also lamar brings other skills to the game which iverson does not need to bring (iverson is a scorer and slasher and a really good passer but with the team being built around kobe he might have a problem with it in the long run) lamar brings a mismatch to the opposing team sure he does not play great defense but his size alone will make the opponents second guess if they should shot over him....also lamar brings great rebounding to the team from a SF position also he is able to shoot well (inside the arc...not sure bout his 3) and also can slash pretty well for a big man...overall i think he would be a great fit on the team when compared to iverson
They're making a 3-year commitment. Do you think Iverson will make it through 3-years and still play in the Olympics? I don't think so, that's why Duncan, Shaq, and Garnett didn't want to play. Iverson is good, no doubt about it, but he's getting to that 'veteran' stage.

Iverson should be on the team, but.. eh, maybe they're thinking about the future and how his mentality of the game will change? Who knows. It's not the final make-up of Team USA yet though, so shhh.

i would agree with you on the fact that the long term commitment will wear down on Iverson in addition to his physical play..anyways i think that if he showed himself to be a more efficient point guard that makes his teammates better while taking games over when needed Team USA should at least defer to him in case any other point guard opts out of the commitment....but i wouldnt expect him to play major minutes unless the advantage is totally in iversons favor..but i would say his major role would be like that of a teach to the rookies or soph's...this way he would be contributing on the court and off the court....imagine if chris paul meshed his play with the killer instinct and full on dedication of iverson...especially since he play with the hornets and the mere fact that the team isnt finals bound every year may eventually wear him down

you know what I meant dude. The Lakers with Shaq felt like a while ago even though it was only 2 years. I've only seen Shaq play in high school a couple times
Go sixers and AI!!!
this is now gangsta turf thankyou goodbye
Shaq at his best was at the 3-Peat era; Shaq of the Lakers 2-years ago was HORRID. He was FAT and ungainly. He's getting back into shape, which is great.

As for Team USA, it's being built around Kobe because since it's a 3-year commitment they needed to have that one constant piece, and they decided it was Kobe. They needed players that complimented his style, and I don't think Iverson would have fit that style. Sure, you got Paul Pierce, LBJ, Wade and 'Melo in there that sorta play the similar style Kobe plays, but they can also play other roles easily. Whereas Kobe and Iverson, IMHO, are pretty set as the single-minded, scoring assassin that need to have the ball at all times. With LBJ, or 'Melo, or Wade, they're much more comfortable to a single role.

They're really trying to push having a team that knows each other really well, hence the 3-year commitment. They can't wing it like they've done in the past cause the rest of the world is catching up to the Americans.

As for Iverson being traded, I like players who stick to a single team throughout their careers, or at least most of their careers. Magic, Larry, Isiah, Stockton, Reggie...and I guess you can count Karl and MJ in there, too, even though they played for other teams at the end. There's just something to be said for loyalty that's been missing in a lot of other players these days. I don't think it'd be good for Philly to trade Iverson at this time unless they got something solid in return; Iverson will flat out play regardless of where the court is in the country, but he really would much rather stay in City of Brotherly Love, I think. However, if he was ever traded, it'd only be fair to put him in a team that can be a contender. It's gunna be a tough fit for him anywhere, cause just like Kobe, he draws so much attention that the gameplay has to be designed around him. I'd say places like Indiana or Detroit have systems already in place that would fit with him (replace Peja, or Rip with AI). But I don't think either of those teams will mess with what they've got right now.
I don't think Iverson will be traded. He's definately a franchise player, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers pull the trigger on a trade for lets say... KG, but thats doubtful, even though KG also will be on the trading block.
yeah basketball iss pretty cool, i go watch the homegames at my school..
