Jim Jackson is a good player but his body might be waring down a bit..i really don't think can really help the Lakers out and he won't be able to play in the playoff...

Jim Jackson is an OK player, he can shoot. and he has experience ALOT of experience. and thats what the lakers need right now. they are quite a young team right now.

I pick a re-match of last year's Finals. Except this time, Detroit wins it in the 7th game. I don't think anybody can stop the Pistons in the east kuz the Heat aren't doing as good as expected this year and I still think the only team that can stop the Spurs right now is the Mavericks who i think will make it deep into the playoffs this year.

Jimmy Jackson has been on 14 teams for the past 12 seasons (correct?). I like him. He used to play the triangle offense, so Phil Jackson can benefit from that. He's a 3pt specialist, but thats not why the Lakers signed him. They signed him because he's a veteran, and because he's a role player (a reliable scorer).

Jimmy can help the Lakers win in the stretch, and he can be one of the supportive Laker players. If you look at the threepeat Lakers, they had lots of role players. Rick Fox, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Lindsey Hunter, Ron Harper. Most of them aren't all-stars, but they contribute to the team and show dedication. I think Jim Jackson is capable of being one of those types of players. 3nodding

Jim Jackson is definitely a move towards improving the players around Kobe, just like how it was back with Michael and the Bulls. And yeah, just like with the 3-peat Lakers recently. You got Kobe (MJ), Lamar (Scottie), and a bunch of other guys who fill a specific role. Jimmy and Devon play hard and are the type of players who you don't think too much of but can end up seriously hurting you (i.e. a player like Horry).

As for the Mavs going deep? The Mavs or the Spurs WILL go down by the Second Round. With the way the seeding is, and with the way their respective records are, they'll face each other in the second round assuming they both make it past the first. Even though that statistically the Spurs are no.1 and the Mavs are no.2 in the west, because of the Division leaders automatically getting the top 3 seeds, the Mavs are no. 4. The no. 1 team will face the no.4 team in the second round, and 2 vs 3, assuming they all make it. So, yeah, don't expect either the Mavs or the Spurs to BOTH make it to the Conference Finals. One of them has to fall by the second round.

The Knicks are full of them. Blazers, eh... with the trades they've been doing I think they're finally heading in the right direction, at least what fulfill's Nate McMillan's needs. Almost looking as last year's Sonics' team, just minus Ray Allen.
