Thanks for the reply, it was very interesting. But in my opinion, I don't think that they will play Baron Davis over Jeremy Lin because at best Davis will play almost as good as Lin has been playing. I'm not saying he is the best player ever, he has many flaws like his defense and turn overs, but he is a very good player who has proven himself lately that he can continue to play well. Yes I do agree that he fits the spot like Courtney Lee did for Orlando, but I also think that he is playing at a higher level than Lee ever did. I think that his stats will drop when Carmelo comes back, but hopefully D'Antoni can figure out a system to keep both of the efficient and striving in his offense. This could be possible, but they can also clash and cause each other to perform badly and cause one of them to be traded. do you think that he can still perform with Melo back?

Ya he will definitely have more minutes than Davis but Davis will drop his minutes giving him equal minutes as most point guards. As for his performance when Melo comes back, I actually think they will increase. Carmelo is a small forward and Lin is a guard so I don't think his stats will drop (I mean like fg%) but ya he will get less points because Carmelo is a ball hog lol. I think he will continue 20+ with 1 steal every game or so and then drop to 15-17 points a game. His stats aren't that impressive.
Actually his stats aren't that impressive at all. He has proven not to use an outside shot and his free-throw % is like 78% which is OK. He doesn't give you blocks either. He's just giving them points, and because for the last 4 years I've been playing Fantasy Basketball, I like stats! To be a all-star player, to be a good player, you have to be proficient in another category than points. That's why most championship teams have players that are proficient in many categories.
For instance, last year the Mavs had one of the best outside shots, great clutch players, persistent players that bring it every game, and an energetic deep bench.
That's why If I was to make a team right now probably Lin would be the 20th pg I'd choose.
For instance, Ricky Rubio, who plays for the T-wolves, provides more Steals per game than turnovers and has proven to talk the talk about passing. ( "A shot made makes 1 man happy, a pass and the basket makes 2 man happy"-Rubio).
Summary: Lin Is a scorer and for me, that's not what I look for in a point guard. But it has proven to the Knicks to be important since they don't have scorers at this second. I'm sure that his stats will drop with Melo back, but his stats right now, to me, aren't even that impressive.

What are you talking about? Lin a scorer? He scores, but he also facilitates the offense. Look at his assists and how well the Knicks offense run with him running PG which was not happening when Melo was playing, though he did try to play as a point forward (didn't work out well).

Here are his stats in the last 9 days smile Prove this wrong
42minutes a game(1rst-2nd most minutes in the league) , 22 turnovers, 1 block(less than .20 a game), 7 steals(1 a game), 36 assists(about 5-6 a game[average]), 16 rebounds(that's not his job), Points(25+[thats really good]), 4 three's(less than 1 a game[less than 25%], 70% ft(not great).
He was getting less than 10 minutes a game last year at GS... he's tried hard and got where he was because he knew that he would have to take the leadership role when all their stars are out... Also..
Yes he has a good feel for basketball, he can set up the offense, sure... but the only reason they are giving him 42+ minutes is because he is their only true pointguard. He is the only one right now that is putting up good scoring and the only one on their team that they can give the ball to. Who are they going to give the ball to with 2 seconds left, amare? You obviously know nothing about basketball WHEN your telling me I don't know anything. Let's see how "well" he will be when he get's 33 minutes a game buddy <3 .

Here is something else for you buddy. Here are the last 6 teams they beat with him...
New Jersey (less than 500)
Utah(500)
Washington(less than 500)
Lakers(less than 600)
Toronto(less than 500)
Tonight they play Sacramento(less than 500)
After that they play New Orleans(less than 500)
Then they play Dallas(bet you 1billion gp they lose)
So do you think he is that great now? ._. I don't think he is that great man. Don't get me wrong he is a good pointguard but he doesn't give anything else besides points. You want a good pointguard go google Rondo, Rubio, or Kidd <3

Wow you're right, I my 5 years of playing and watching basketball amounts to "not knowing a thing about basketball." There's more to sports than just stats fool.
Also using your logic:
New Jersey (less than 500)
Utah(500)
Washington(less than 500)
Lakers(less than 600)
That argument went invalid when you said less than 600 for the Lakers implying that they are a bad team on the level of the Wizards and the Nets.

Also, he's already logging in 39+ minutes per game.

But yes he does need to work on 3-pt shooting and limiting his turnovers. His free throw shooting will improve when he fully adjusts to the mental toll and exhaustion that comes with being a starting player playing 30+ minutes per game. By no means is he the next Michael Jordan, but a great basketball player nonetheless.

By your logic of stats, Shaq (in his prime) would be a terrible player because of his atrocious free throw percentage which would send his team to the bottom of the league in ft percentage.

You just pulled bullshit out of everything I just said. The lakers are there because those are the 6 straight wins across the teams they have recently played. I was trying to prove that all of their wins are by less than 500 teams and a team that was at that time around .500 (the lakers, now they are about .580) And no shaq would not be a 'terrible player' with my logic. Because he gives you a sufficient supply of low post effort, blocks, rebounds, and as you can see by being on the all time scoring list, a great scorer. And yes, no s**t shaq sucked at free throws.
Using the logic you claim, Jordan was a half assed Baseball player, therefore he sucks at basketball. no.

Linsanity streak has ended.. mad
I am irritated to see people who were once Lebron,Kobe,Derrick Rose, etc fans end up changing there team and favorite player to Lin.-__-A true fan would stick to there team and players.
Ive been a Knicks fan since birth you can say.
the team was doing very bad tell lin got his chance and the so called best players were injured the games he won he worked great with chanler and novak.
