Although the Celtics have the most championships in NBA history, unless they make drastic roster changes and start thinking of the future their ride as a championship contending team will be over. It is arguable that their ability to win a championship is already over, but looking at the previous champions of the Dallas Mavericks, old experienced teams have a possible chance of winning. But, unless they start revolving their team around a young player who can lead them; they will return to the irrelevant Celtics that we knew for a few years before the "Big 3" were formed. The Celtics have their best chance of rebuilding right now because their 3 aging superstars still have trade value and they can start revolving a team that fits around their young point-guard Rajon Rondo. But looking at the team they have, unless changed, they will have some rough years after their players retire or sign to other teams after their contracts have expired.
