I can't believe Eduardo missed his chance when it was just him and the keeper and he shot wide. The Fabregas was amazing taking the ball from midfield beating 3 defenders and slotting the ball in the goal, I didn't get to see it live because they were still showing replays from the first goal. The game was well worth getting up for.

Our third goal shows how you play for the whistle and not for the flag, nice performance by van Persie he has certainly found his form recently.

There was only 11 seconds between the Van Persie's goal and Fabregas' apparently. Sky sports managed to show it just as Cesc scored, but I didn't really see it properly until the replays lol. Yeah I really thought Eduardo was gonna score that, his finishes aren't as good atm and same with Arshavin today.

Arsenal Travel to Manchester City for the quarterfinal of the Carling Cup. Away from home against top flight teams is where we have failed in previous seasons, I want to make the semis but I wouldn't be surprised if we exited this round as well. I hope we field a team that can win the match.

Knowing Wenger he'll still put out a young team against Man City. We'll just have to hope they play well and Man City don't.

Liverpool have lost again with 2 players sent off. Looks like anyone can be in 4th place this season.

the team that took the field against Liverpool won the game, a team that can win the game doesn't mean our first team, but yes we will need to play well and have man city play not as well as they did last time we met.

News to be shared, Clichy is out with a back injury which means Gibbs will fill that spot for now. Also Kronke is at the 29.5% now after buying 247 shares at 8,500 each. Very very close to being required to make a formal takeover but not there yet.

I guess a takeover would be a good thing in the end, as long as he doesn't try and tell Wenger who to buy or try to take over, I'm not really for it though. Shame about Clichy but I'm glad it's not Gallas or Vermaelen who's injured.

An easy 4-1 win against AZ Alkmar leaves us top of Group H.
So the table looks like this.

1 Arsenal 10
2 Olympiakos 6
3 Standard Liege 4
4 AZ Alkmaar 2

We just need a draw in the home game against Standard Liege and we will be through to the last 16. I expect us to win the last 2 games anyway.

Oh and Stan Kroenke increased his share again to 29.9%.

I expect us to win our next game at home against Standard Liege. Then we will be top of our group and the trip to Greece will be a meaningless one for us and I would expect to give fringe players a chance to play in the champions league. We might win lose or draw it it hopefully will be a meaningless game.

Being an American there is only 1 other American I would rather have buying Arsenal and that would be Paul Allen co founder of Microsoft. Since he only wants teams in Seattle, and Oregon if the team in Seattle won't sell, so that he can watch his teams play in the stadium live every match I don't expect him to buy an English team. Stan Kroenke doesn't have the most successful MLS team in the Colorado rapids, they managed to miss out on the playoffs, but his Denver Nuggets are doing very well and he is a hands off, out of the media blitz owner that would work best with Arsenal. I dislike him because he is married to a Walton, heir to Wal-mart fortune, because I hate that company with a passion and I am a trail blazer fan so not a great fan of other owners, but if it can't be Paul Allen then Stan is the Man for Arsenal.

Arsenal are in second place 5 points back and a game in hand, very much still in the thick of things. It was a very exciting finish to the match, especially after Drogba got booked for getting kicked in the chest cleats up. After that it sort of spiraled down a bit.

Wenger has led us to the Promised Land and he will find his way back again.

No one knows much about him in England, but I think everyone would prefer him to Usmanov.
