Welcome to Gaia! ::

Do the Lakers have a chance to win the championship this season with the roster that they currently have? If not, list reasonable ideas on good ways that they can make their team better, without including a Dwight Howard trade.
Honestly the Lakers don't need a center like howard(if they keep ******** gasol and bynum). They just need to get the ******** rid of Bynum and Artest. They should worry about building their roster for next season.
They don't have e legitamite chance to win the season this year. They need a power forward and a shooting guard.
Their roster does not impress me 1bit. Nor are they exiting 1 bit. Kobe Bryant is the only player on that team that has potential to recognize game.
They would need these players to win:
Peja Stojakovic(retired)
Ak-47(In russia)
J.R. Smith (China)
Dwight Howard (sorry they need him, even though they are not going to :] )
Shawn Marion (If Dallas gets howard)
Brook Lopez (His contract ends next year)
Chris Kaman (along with him howard and lopez they are the only centers that I would want in LA)

Anyways, I'm not a lakers fan at all, sorry. But if they got some of these players they would have potential. Untill Kobe Retires that is.

When people told me that Chris Paul might be traded I thought it was stupid.
People keep saying to add great players to a team in which the team doesn't need that player.
I think that is really true and i agree with most of your ideas. Ron Artest needs to go and they need someone to hold down the point guard position. They don't need a star at either of those positions though, good role players like Ramon Sessions and Wilson Chandler, yeah i know he will be too expensive for the Lakers to afford, will help put them back to being relevant again. I think Bynum can stay as the starting center, even thought he cant stay healthy and hits people, and hopefully the all star game finally gives him the drive to take over games. I agree with you with that Kaman would be a good fit but he cant be trusted to stay healthy. Because i live in California i watch the clippers almost as much as the Lakers and Kaman has been unhealthy just as much as Bynum and i don't think he is worth the gamble it would take to get him. i don't think the Lakers are hopeless but i do think that they need to make some adjustment to be a top team again

Agreed, and yes Bynum does hit people. Poor Juan Jose Barea crying lol I also live in Cali, (SD).
The reason I have grown to not like Kobe and Fisher is because of 2002 when:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=91415111 Well basically just know that Tim dounaghy and other refs cheating caused my 2002 Kings to lose :__( Heres a hard fact: Some reffs bet on the game and in the 4th quarter in the last 7 minutes, the lakers took 30 freethrows and all of there centers were fouled out. Also Kobe elbowed mike bibby in the face, and they called a foul Y_Y.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4KfNsFbLqg
Good s**t... Anyways

, I think that the Lakers have won there championchips by having good players, but not the greatest players. They have had young energetic centers, a good season, and Kobe has always been a primary player. But this year most of these things are lacking in one sense or another.
oh and the cheating in that game was like 2002 game 6 lakers vs kings semifinals. Also it happened in game 5&7 but not as much evidence
Yeah i agree with you and i remember that game that led to the Robert Horry 3-pointer. Well the bright side is that if the kings can get some discipline in their coaching staff and their players start to grow up than the Kings can become a top team in like two years. They remind me of the Thunder in the way that they are rebuilding through the drafts. Yeah the lakers need some excitement in the team which is what im hoping that Goudelock can help with.

nah ******** the kings now, they can smd XD jk mavs/Minnesota fan
Minnesota is looking like they have a pretty bright future and Dallas still has a chance at the whole Dwight/Williams/Nowitzki thing.
