The friend I'm doing all the takarazuka cosplays with is stuck bouncing between otokoyaku roles and musumeyaku roles. She's happy whenever she gets a musumeyaku role.

Same here. For all the cosplays I want to do they are all Otokoyaku roles which is nice cause I'm not much of a dress person

I'd love to cosplay Chie!Chauvelin or one of the Deaths, either Mizu!Death or Saeko!Death.
I also love Lucifer's outfits but I don't know how well I can pull off the mullet.

I wouldn't mind cosplaying Silver from Silver Wolf or Guerilla!Mizu from La Mariposa.

I LOVE TAKARAZUKA. So far my favourite actress is Jun Sena, she is just way to hot and her voice is so deep and perfect. crying omg im in love

I'm excited to see Kiriya Hiromu as a top star now, I'd do anything to see her performance of Percy in the Scarlet Pimpernel. And since Takarazuka has a habit of doing a musical for Elisabeth ALL THE TIME... perhaps we will see her as Death? I loved her as Luigi though, so great at her expressions.

Takarazuka is basically everything I love; women dressing as men, good music, singing, acting, flamboyant costumes, etc... I'm rather new to the scene though and don't speak a great deal of Japanese, but I am absorbing everything I can lolz. Like a sponge.

I really really want to see Kiriyan as Percy, too. But I don't think I'll make it to Japan for the run D:
I have a friend there right now and she reports that she is AMAZING.

I'd kinda like to see Reon Yuzuki as Death, personally. I can't imagine Kiriyan as Death but I know she'd probably give the role a very good shot.

Buh, so jealous of your friend! D= I've loved The Scarlet Pimpernel since I first read it, Percy is such a romantic guy and Takarazuka is perfect to pull him off. Asahi.com uploaded some assorted pics and such of it. [link] >o< My mind is going to explode I want to see it so bad.

I'll have to settle for buying the DVDs... eventually. They're uber expensive and I don't have money. I really want to see The Rose of Versailles, preferably the Oscar/Andre ones (although it looks like Wao Youka makes a great Fersen).

BTW random question... why do people call Kiriya "Kiriyan"?? I've seen her called that over on LJ and I haven't caught on yet.

The DVDs are RIDONK expensive. But its about the only thing I spend any serious money on anymore. I figure its almost like the price of a ticket to the show only you get the benefit of seeing it over and over again. [ /rationalization]

And Kiriyan is her nickname. All the Takarazuka actresses are given nicknames. Most of them based on their real birth names, like Sena Jun's nickname is Asako.

The DVDs are indeed expensive, but when I get money I won't really care how much they cost. I want them. O_O

But in the mean time I'll spend my money on back issues of Takarazuka graph... sweatdrop I like the stickers they come with.
