Welcome rhigibson! Always happy to see new faces here! biggrin And I gotta ask, who's Toshi? I'm bad with nicknames and Takawiki doesn't seem to have a 'Toshi' under the nicknames category.

xD It's Uzuki Hayate. She got the Shinko lead for The Gypsy Baron & played Horatio in Hamlet!
She is also Tsuki's Sky Navigator alongside Ayahoshi Rion ... she is also incredibly cute and has an AMAZING voice on her. I really hope she gets more and more stage time. I've noticed that she is getting more prominent roles as well which makes me incredibly happy heart

Oh Uzuki chan! Thanks for the info. I gotta admit though, I haven't been noticing youngsters as much, but her role of Fred Astaire has me intrigued. Shall have to keep my eyes peeled if/when I get a chance to watch Edward VIII! XD

So for those who haven't heard, Ryuu Masaki has been announced as Tsuki's New Top with Asumi Rio as the Demi-Top (whatever that means to Hankyuu). Kageki News Here

Double Top Stars? What are the views on that? Me thinks Hankyuu should have just left Mirio as Nibante. She's still too green to be Top IMHO, even if only a Demi-Top.

I don't know how this demi-top is going to work, but I feel that Mirio should be nibante also.
And Manaki Reika is young, but may be ready to be Top, since she's gotten a lot of parts in the musicals, and because she's had a leading role with Mirio in Alice. I also noticed that she's pretty tall for a musumeyaku.

And aside, I wonder if Ouki Kaname will become top after Yuuhi?

I'm incredibly happy for all 3 of them. It was actually pretty typical yearrrsss ago to have shared top positions.

I ADORE Mirio heart heart ... I love the fact that I have watched her mature and improve every year ... but I agree that she still needs a little bit more time to improve her singing.
Masao will be a good top ... not too sure how she will do with Chapi (Manaki Reika) though ...
I'm liking the idea of someone else being able to move up into the nibante position after Mirio ... Magee or Toshi (hopefully) xD

Regarding Chapi's height, she was an otokoyaku before she changed to a musumeyaku ... but she was only really otokoyaku in height, everything else about her screams musumeyaku (including her ridiculously girly personality on and off stage)


Also ... if Teru doesn't get Top after Yuuhi ... I will scream and then cry in anger and frustration. She deserves it so so badly and will also make a really good top ... her personality is actually the cutest thing ever ... she is so shy and it is ADORABLE!
The only person I could have seen becoming Top instead of Teru is Micchan ... but that isn't going to happen now that she's off to Senka -shakes fist at Hankyu-

Well, before Berubara things were pretty different, weren't they? XD I guess I'm not into double Tops because that's not how things were when I was introduced to Zuka (yes, so very long ago /sarcasm), but the troupe structures are in a constant state of change.

That being said, I am very pro-more experienced 'Siennes being promoted. Stage experience over youth any day! My favorites all just got cuter the longer they performed. Seriously, Hankyuu.

Another thought to add to this reverting back to the Top and Co-Top system, it could also point to Hankyuu/Zuka not being very stable financially (economy is not very good after all and then in the wake of the 3/11 disaster too).

Hence the promoting of two young popular Otokoyaku to Top at the same time in the hopes that that would boost ticket sales? Pretty smart move on Hankyuu/Zuka's part if that's really the case. It really makes me wonder．．．
