Takarazuka Revue is an all female troupe over in Japan. There are 5 troupes Cosmos, Moon, Flower, Star and Snow.

I'm a huge fan of theirs. My favorite actresses are Haruno Sumire and Sena Jun. My favorite shows are Elisabeth, Phantom, Rose of Versailles, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Ernest in Love.

Whoa, the thread's alive.

The more active the thread, the more chance other people will join, but for whatever reason, its hard to rally the zuka fans on Gaia even though I know there are some.

My favorite actresses...hmm
Asami Hikaru will always be my #1, I love Mizu Natsuki for her acting, Kiriya Hiromu for her glorious voice and her ability to switch between otokoyaku and musumeyaku and do both roles with equal justice.

I'm starting to get into Reon Yuzuki but I haven't seen much of her work yet.

My favorite musumeyaku are probably Kanami Ayano and Maikaze Rira.

Asami was a fantastic dancer. Mizu is also pretty damn good too. It will be sad after she retires

Kiriyan played Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Pandora in Dancing Dreams and some smaller revue parts as well.

I'm really really sad about Mizu retiring. I just feel like a golden age for Yukigumi is ending.
There's still Ootozuki Kei, I guess.

But I think my eye will now be on Kiriyan.

I'm going to be watching several actresses. Yuzuki Reon and Ryuu Masaki are the two main ones. I really hope that Ryuu eventually becomes a top star. She did so well in the role of Luigi in the 2009 production of Elisabeth.

I never really got into Ryuu Masaki.
I kinda like Asumi Rio. Yuuhi Ozora is coming into her own, but not the best, IMO.

I hope they find some anti-hero roles for Reon Yuzuki. I do love her villains.
