So much wrong.... so much wrong here and so little time.
First and foremost, it's good we have people with different viewpoints and everyone is entitled to their opinions.... even though some of them are borderline retarded.
Love Never Dies is something that should not have been made. Period. It's based on a book titled "The Phantom of Manhattan" and it makes "Twilight" look like a masterpiece, and that's saying a lot seeing as Twilight was rejected publication 14 times (why not more I do not know).
There is no character development in this travesty... it's a fanfic. A horribly executed, acted, written fanfic. The original had a beautiful perfect ending that taught us what it means to truly love someone and showed true growth between all the characters.
LND shows us "oh mah gawd phantom totally got with Christine but like, he was soooo emo he ran away and like... now they have a son and now, like Raoul is a poop head and Christine should have TOTALLY gone with the phantom." Seriously, Fanfiction.net has better written material.
Now don't get me wrong, I think some of the singers in Love Never Dies are amazing, Ramin Karimloo is one of the best Phantoms ever to grace the stage, and I do enjoy 2 of the productions songs, so I am not saying it's 100% evil. It's 99.9% evil and doesn't deserve the dvd/blu ray release it's getting let alone a full blown movie production. I'm still bitter about the 2004 movie directed by Joel Schumacher who destroys everything he touches....
TL : DR summary: Love Never Dies should have died before it was born, those stating it's better than the original need to seriously consider picking up a bottle of lye and drink it. Thank you.
