Musical Theatre Question! :3

I really like listening to female musical theater singers like Kristin Chenoweth and Anne Hathaway (even though she hasn't much yet)

Does anyone know any singers that are along the same lines?

I just like hearing girls who can hit really high notes. :3

Emily Rossum from Phantom of the opera, she's amazing. She has such an amazing voice range, at first, I didn't believe she was only 16 when she sang that part. I'm 17 now, if I tried to sing that high (or at all), I'd kill someone. sweatdrop

I love Emmy Rossum.
When she hits that last note in the song "Phantom of the Opera" it nearly blew my speakers.

I have a quest thread, and yes, I am questing.

if you like listening to women who sing high notes, i know this doesnt count much as she sings for a short period of time, but in the claude rains version of "the phantom of the opera", Susanna Foster (christine) was able to sing two full octaves easily. she hit a really, REALLY high note , i actually got scared because it sounded almost too impossible to be human.

...lemme find you a link to a video (its from a review of the movie, but i hope you'll be able to see what i mean) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtY44cSD_f8

tis sad news that she died recently though :<

Definately the girl from Phantom, anyone who even attempts the role of Christine has to be a first soprano. that's what i sing, and i can barely hit some of the notes! i sang through most of the songs in phantom once, my throat was sore for a week!

heh heh, sorry i ranted sweatdrop

Someone tell the story,
Someone sing the song.
Every now and then the country
Goes a little wrong.

Every now and then a madman's
Bound to come along.
Doesn't stop the story-
Story's pretty strong.

Doesn't change the song.
Sutton Foster is wonderful.
She plays Fiona in Shrek the Musical.
And Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie.

I agree. Look up the original Christine (Sarah Brightman) if you really want to hear the phantom songs sung right!

Sarah Brightman. <3 She's wonderful.

1 Corinthians 13:13 - Now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. And the strongest of these is Love.

I second Hayley Westenra. Don't really have anyone else to suggest though. Cause I fail like that. =)
