I just returned from a special pre-showing of Mamma Mia!. I laughed, I cried...I almost burst out into song. Needless to say, it was great.
At first I was a little unsure of the ABBA music thing, but they took it very comically, which I am so glad of. (but I mean, how serious can you be with ABBA music?)
Meryl (Donna) and Amanda (Sophie) both have gorgeous voices, although I think Pierce Brosnan should stick to acting...his singing wasn't that bad, though.

I'm downloading the movie soundtrack as we speak- erm, type.

See the movie, you'll love it. Although I should warn you all....there is some sexual...material. No sex scenes. Just a middle-aged man's tattooed a**. I dunno, maybe you're into that sort of thing.

Anywho, I believe the movie comes out in theaters this Friday....Go see it, you'll be smiling the whole time (except for those tear-jerking moments. I doubt you'll smile during those, unless you have a deranged sense of humor. Which you might..)

Although there could be some.. awkward moments, I'm not sure if your grandma would be alright with sexual innuendo or not...

I saw the Broadway play about two years ago...and didn't like it much. It just didn't flow well for me and then randomly ended. I'm still going to see the movie though, it actually looks pretty good via the previews.

The musical I can't wait for though is; Repo! The Genetic Opera

i like it when movies come out for musicals, mainly because it is so hard to see these musicals onstage.
ps- viola harmony, do you by chance actually play the viola?

i saw Mamma Mia and i loved it. I want to see it again. Meryl Streep is amazing and so is the rest of the cast. There is werid moments but i laught because it was so funny. I want to visit greece now because of this movie.

I'm hopefully seeing it next weekend. I've heard nothing but great things about the film and the cast. I'm really looking forward to it.

I've been so excited for this movie for such a long time. I bought the Broadway cast recording over two months ago and have been listening to the music over and over again. I'm going to see the movie tonight. biggrin I'm having my parents take me because my friends are all too excited over Batman to care about Mamma Mia!. I actually had a friend try to convince me not to go see Mamma Mia! but rather take her to go see The Dark Knight again. As if.
