You should add a poll to this thread!

Personally, 'drink with me', 'empty chairs at empty tables' and 'Javert's suicide' hit the hardest. 'On my own' is sad and gets stuck in my head a lot but does not bring the same emotion that the others do. Either way, I love them all!

Empty Chairs at Empty tables is the saddest, because it's ALL about the people you love that have died! As a person who has lost many people I was close to, I cannot listen to it without crying. There are only about 3 songs that always have this affect on me. I've known it since I was a child, and never have I made it through the entire song without at least tearing up! However, I LOVE that song... maybe it's weird, but it's a really beautiful song! cat_exclaim

Dog eat dog is rather emotional, I guess the idea of a world so mangled and destroyed that 'cleaning the streets' when 'the gutters run with blood' is commonplace and needed is pretty heart breaking.

Not to forget 'Turning', that song is like the cry of history. The lamentations of women over thousands of years, it's pretty powerful.

It's easily my favourite song but it doesn't make me cry. I find it's about survivor's guilt rather than death 'my friends don't ask me, what your sacrifice was for'. It takes me to that place beyond tears, the hollow empty place where you're all but numb.
