I recently got the dvd of the stage-concert of JCS with Tim Minchin playing Judas and it is just FANTASTIC. I adore him, he has handfuls of videos on youtube with his comedy songs and tidbits. I suppose it's just a stage play but it seems more like a concert with rockband but STILL AWESOME! biggrin

I love how they modernized the story, more so even than the movie adaptation. Though no machine guns, they had a small tent city! Lol.

I'd love the movie just for Minchin, cause he's awesome with this slight twang to his singing.

His voice is not smooth and perfect, it's rough and grating and wonderful for poor Judas who's driven to the end of his rope. Literally.
