Anybody heard of industrial musicals? Popular in the mid-20th century, these were musicals that were produced by companies as a sort of bizarre propaganda. Personally, I find them hilarious. (And also a bit disturbing.)
A couple examples:
That's Show Biz
This links to a page with a few songs from the “musical” That’s Show Biz, which was produced by Goodyear to advertise Prime-Wrap, a plastic wrap for meats. These songs are creepy, especially track two, “He’ll Cooperate”. Just a warning.
Go Fly a Kite
These songs, from Go Fly a Kite, a musical produced by General Electric, aren’t nearly as twisted as those from That's Show Biz. Just stupid, and ineffectually mocking of country folks and hippies.
