That's all very well, but it's written in such a way that any posting of copyrighted material by someone who isn't the rights holder (or at least has permission from the rights holder) could, in theory, be construed as "piracy". And that's what people are pissed off about.

an item based on anything its not against SOPA. SOPA allows inspiration to create our own stuff, gaia did that... and with or without SOPA, if Gaia C/P'ed an item from any serie they would have had problem with authorities...

I guess you don't know about the Fair Use Act. If the original copyright holder deems any of the rip off items to violate the Fair Use Act and win in court, they will be able to use the SOPA act as well. Furthermore, it's not just the rip-off items that we're worried about. It's also the posts, journals, PMs, etc. If there are any copyrighted pictures, videos, ANYTHING or even links to, this site would be in direct violation of SOPA and will be blocked without warning.
