This happens to me sometimes. Whenever I start to feel really bad sometimes I snap and I get mad and accidently hurt those I love. I hate myself later for it. It's just an accident, an overflow of anger.

Some people do it as a way of easing separation if it's going to happen. They don't mean it, they just think it'll be easier to part with someone if that someone is angry with them.

Well there are several reasons why it all depends on the life that was led before he met or she met you. [Case A] The person was teased and hurt emotionally as a kid and young adult by people they let get close enough.
So there for while yes they do love you they also want to make sure that you cant love them enough to hurt them also.
Because their self worth and confidence is shattered and they need therapy to start and then love to rebuild those proper skills never works vise verso. OR [Case B] They experienced a lot of hatred from either bully's or Parents/Guardians when they were young and to rationalize it their minds warped it to a sign of Love or attention. and that has become the only way they know how to show their hearts. Through the pain they cause they will try to make sure you are as scarred as they are inside even if it is unintentional as they do it in this case they do need the same therapy as mentioned now the extent of it is of subject to their personal experiences and what works also but it is always a great starting place.




Now of course this Information Provided is based on the rather vague description you gave us/me of what is happening and also based on the fact that it is emotional abuse as compared to physical abuse but please note that this person from what you said may truly love you and just doesn't know the right way to express it it is up to you and nobody else to decide if they are worth sticking around for and please consider heavily if it is also worth it emotionally

I feel like this thread was created to vent a bit of anger because of boyfriend problems, not to actually ask a question that needs answering.

I think i get this feeling because the question "why would someone cause pain to a loved one?" will probably have the same answer as "why would someone cause another person pain?", and that question has a pretty simple answer.
