Welcome to Gaia! ::

What's the word for my baby tooth to still be behind my gums? I know the word for it. I don't know how it's spelled though. And no way on earth am I going to let some dentist pull that tooth out, when I can figure out other methods to fix it, because I am not just going to assume the dentist was being honest. Btw, I know about my tooth being behind my gums, from some ex-ray scan my dad did to my teeth.

What are you asking about something getting impacted?
Why would your father X-ray your face.

Regardless in my experience they tend to be benign.

I put the question mark because I wasn't sure if the term you were looking for was "impacted" tooth. neutral

I was not trying to say I got hurt by the x-ray. I think he x-rayed my mouth because we had nothing else to do. We went to his work for the x-ray thing because my mom would not stop complaining about her teeth, and he wanted to get an idea of how her teeth were doing to figure out what can be done about them, according to what he says she has gum disease, idk if he knows what he's talking about though he's a manager, not a dentist.

Un-erupted. My canines are the same way. They're in the top gums. I never got them in.

That's when your teeth are all jammed together and are crooked.

Hmm..maybe. From what I remember though, I got told a different name it probably has more than 1 definition to it though, so you might be incorrect.

That sounds like an inherently irresponsible thing to do.

I knew a man who never lost his baby teeth. Yes and he had small teeth.
Just one of those weird things that happen in life.

More unusual: my grandmother had a third set of teeth that went unnoticed for seventy years.

Stranger still: doctors decided to remove them for no particular reason as an auxiliary procedure to a double bypass operation.

Strangest of all: For some reason they decided part way through that they couldn't and stopped.
