What makes you happy?

Like other people, my cats make me happy. In fact, they're the only thing I can think about! Also, a Madam I know on Facebook makes me very, very happy.

But I'm sure the cats can beat her.

There's a lot of things that make me happy. I never am sad for too long, since even little things will quickly snap me out of sorrow. I like seeing people help each other, and the world, hearing good music, just sitting at the computer and looking at sites I like, drawing, or generally being in a quiet environment that has no one yelling in it with some tea or something. Eating baked goods is nice, too. I also like walking in beautiful scenery. Oh and my pets of course, too! And my boyfriend definitely always makes me feel loads happy, and happy times with other people I care about.

What makes me happy is talking to friends and a chick I like who is also a friend, listening to music, playing my bass and keyboard, buying CDs that I'm never able to find, going on the computer, watching TV, and looking outside my window while daydreaming to pass the time.

Going to sleep content after completing my tasks for the day. But they mostly consist of laying around and being silly. :>

Often, I find that it is the little things in life that tend to make me happy the most. A well written book bought on a sale, a balanced tea time, nice stationery, writing in said nice stationery...just having done what I planned to do that day in general. Nice weather is a bonus. biggrin

Pasta/lasagna/other delicious foods, cats, good books, days that are just-right temperature, music (listening and playing), completely owning people IRL because they're silly, my best friend (who also does the previous), videogames, D&D, etc.

Our microeconomics teacher told us about a study made a few years ago where they polled people asking them to "rate" their happiness (from 0 to 100 I believe).

Apparently, a stable marriage / relationship was extremely important for happiness.
Wealth, unless very poor, was not very important.
Terminal disease or very bad illnesses made people extremely unhappy.

That's all I remember.

I find helping people make me happy. I'm a pretty negative person, and when I feel down, I make my way to the life issues section and just give advice to people, lol smile

Nothing can make me happy, and I think this goes for everyone: you get happy when you get what you want but it's in our very nature to always want more. The happiness doesn't last long and when we don't get what we wanted we actually get sad and depressed for a while.

Things make me happy smile It doesn't go for everyone. I don't think anybody hasn't been happy. It's a human emotion y'know? It seems like you just proved your own statement wrong too, since you state "you get happy," lol.
