What makes you happy?

while it is true that having a positive outlook is helpful and can bring more joy into ones life, many people's happiness is based largely on chemicals within the brain such as dopemine and seritonin. Some people struggle to produce the correct amounts of these chemicals which alters their thought processes when it comes to being happy or unhappy. Being Happy is some what of a decision regardless of possible mental illness, however not everyone can help themselves when it comes to becoming a truly happy person without the help of medication or therapy.

some think there is a range of happiness that one can experience. So while I person with depression can't be as happy as the normal person without medication, they can do things to be in the top part of their range.

The challenge is on a scale based on skill. So if something is above your skill level is going to be frustrating, but something equal to your skill level will be enjoyable and something below it will be boring.

When I saw this topic, GivesMeHope was the first thing that popped into my mind. ;3
Honestly, happy people make me happy. Random people who smile at me in the hallway, teachers complimenting my work, great things happening to my friends, and laughing at silly things with friends all make me happy. More than anything, the kindness of strangers. It's not the same when something huge and awesome happens to me, though, because I adjust to things so quickly. But other people make me really happy.

There are a lot of things that make me happy. When strangers say hi to me, when this guy I barely know calls my name and gives me hugs and asks me what's up, eating ice cream, or just food in general- those all make me happy.

Hanging out with my friends, going to the mall or the movies, meeting new friends, buying new clothes makes me happy as well. Shopping, for whatever reason, seems to make me happiest as it makes me feel like I have the power to get things. I sstill don't quite get why though. Playing video games alo mkes me happy.

Whenever I see an American Pit Bull Terrier, be it adult or a puppy, my day always brightens and stays amazing. Puppies in general make me happy. Heck, all animals, with the exception of most insects, make me happy.

Sleep and showers also make me happy, along with having alone time. There are numerous things that make me happy, a lot of them aren't even listed here. These are just a few I can list off the top of my head.

Piratin', playin' video games, arguin', schadenfreude, playin' games such as D&D 3.5 and pathfinda', takin' 5 and a half hours playin' almost three turns o' a warhamma' 40k tabletop match (we didn't know many o' t' rules), beatin' someone at a game o' Magic T' Gatherin', sleepin', and listenin' ta' good music.

I like pathfinda' cause it be like a build up from 3.5 and ya can add 3.5 stuff in it if'n ya want wit'out much trouble. Plus spellcasta's can cast them prepared crappy lvl zero spells as many times per day as they want insteada' only four er six times.
