You're incorrect, males are most commonly molesters due to the way their sex cell is, it varies from a female's sex cell.

I feel completely apauled that many of the people on this thread are defending *****. For that I thank you, and I was on the verge of suicide today because of being looked down apon for this. I came accross your thread and a couple hours later I figured out what I need to do. Since I'm not dead and mad to hight Hell, I'm going to commit well practically social suicide by admitting it in puplic tomorrow!

I find this subject kind of funny, if only because of the way that people tend to treat it, as something that has always been horribly taboo no matter who you were.
To me the whole concept of paraphilia seems to be a bit pointless, they're like a throwback to the way people used to approach homosexuality - that something had to happen to make you act a certain way. Honestly ***** is not only common, its pretty harmless

I am 18, and all my friends know, my parents know, that I like older guys. It's not taboo at all. No one 'speaks down to us'. I mean, I have a tendency to like men in their 40's and 50's.
Like everyone's been saying, it's not attraction that's the issue, it's acting on it inappropriately. And you can do that no matter who you are attracted to.

Most ****** impulse is benign, three of the four factors of abuse make sure of that.

Actually, the funny thing is, as often as I have heard people say that, they have never been able to offer me any of this body of work. I've read the works on the negative effects of sexual relationships at a young age, but from people's inability to cite any of these in their arguments, I would assume that they haven't read anything. Thus, when I ask her to correct this, I am saying that she needs to defend it, not merely assume that it will be universally accepted. Of course all this is being said without me even going into the number of errors frequently found in research dedicated to *****, the sensationalization of the results found, and the similarities between the witch hunt for ***** and similar mass reactions of fear through out U.S. history

I was just speaking yesterday to a man who works at the nearby prison for sex offenders. His job is to administer phallometric testing - which supposedly (it has serious flaws, but let's not go there) measures exactly what men are sexually attracted to. Now, he believes very much in that technology, and even HE states that there are probably thousands of men walking around who show deviant attraction but NEVER commit any sex crimes.

Certainly, there have been studies that show that about 17% of the normal, non-offending adult male population will have "inappropriate age/activity" attraction when tested. And many who commit sex offenses against children show *no* sexual attraction to children.
