Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm a sleeptalker among a family of sleeptalkers. In fact, I often giggle and laugh in my sleep too. Most of the time I don't remember any dreams related to the sleeptalking (my sister usually tells me if I was sleep talking). Though I once woke up laughing from a dream. I'm 20, and I know sleep walking and talking usually go away after puberty. Anyone else still sleep talk or walk? And does anyone have any interesting stories about it?
As of now sleep walking has caused lacerations to my occipital head and right hand, bruising to bilateral feet and hands. Haven't grown out of it, just have to remember to turn ceiling fans off and close my door.

I think you might be using that word, improperly. There is no occipital head-the occiput is part of the head-it is at the back of the head. It is just like there is no occipital brain just an occipital lobe near the back of the skull that is part of the brain.
I've woken up many times laughing. Its kind of funny. I never remember why. A few times I've woken up crying though too. O_O My room mate talks in her sleep. It can be creepy because it sounds like nightmares.

Occiput is more skull, I was looking for a superficial description, Occipital works fine
