shouldn't "gay" and "lesbian" be combined as "homosexual"?
Ruminar - That's a very good way to put it! It makes perfects sense.

Also, I have the same belief towards God as you do. It's called Agnostic Theism.

And - I'm not so sure anybody would be the same person if they were the opposite sex. Keep in mind the huge role gender plays in society.

Joodoo - For the poll? That works, but it is more specific this way.

This is true. I despise gender roles, but I don't know if they could change a person entirely. Of course, we'll never really know because we can't make a boy live his life, then go back to start his entire life over as a female baby. The idea is very interesting though haha.

To be honest, I've been going through a phase lately where I've been questioning everything I've been told and everything around me. I don't know if we have souls because that would imply that we would be judged after we die -- Judgement Day from God, or going to Heaven. So if I'm not sure there's an afterlife or not, I'm also not sure that we have souls either. So maybe instead of saying you fall in love with the person's soul, you could say you fall in love with the person's mind or consciousness or state of being. Hmm...
Noa - Awesome!

Ruminar - I went through that phase not long ago. I did a lot of research in religion and worked hard to convince my parents I wasn't leaving Catholicism out of laziness (they're not religious, but they hated the fact that I didn't want to be a part of what they considered our family to be). I discovered Agnostic Theism and it matched my beliefs.

Very soon I will be joining Unitarian Universalism - a liberal religion that exposes me to many different faiths and allows me to choose the way I worship freely. Based off of what you're telling me, I highly suggest that you look into it.

Unless you don't really care to be religious and you're only trying to question things and come up with answers for yourself.

It sounds very interesting, but I think I'm the latter. I don't really want to be part of any religion. 3nodding

I'd have to go with Kinsey in terms of how sexuality works and say its a continuum on which we don't necessarily always occupy a fixed point. From my viewpoint, treating someone a certain way based on where on that continuum they find themselves is wrong. Claiming religious beliefs as justification for judging others is a backwards and hypocritical way to go. I'd call myself a religious person, and the way I see it, it doesn't matter what I think about sexuality. Other people are as equally one of God's children as I am, and if something is right or wrong, that's not my role to determine and treat other people off of. I treat others with the same love and respect I expect others to treat me with, and the rest is out of my hands.
Im bi 3nodding But i like guys moree whee
I as well am straight and at least try to advocate for gay rights when I can. As a teenager, it's a little hard to do, especially in my community.

As for whether you can choose your sexuality, I believe that most people who do that are lying, and say such things like "Oh, I'm gay now" in order to gain attention, etc. Stupid games, if you ask me.

And yes, I as well get those "girl crushes" - or, at least, I find women mildly attractive. I can't see myself in a relationship with one, though.
I'm straight but I don't believe in many gay rights although I don't many homosexuals are very nice I mean straights can be mean but usually gays are layback
Get this.
I prefer the company of men, b/c we have like minds (I think like a guy)
But I hate p***s...
Most girls annoy me.

So I'm pretty much screwed til I find a special someone.
