Welcome to Gaia! ::

I consider myself straight, the only time I've ever been turned on by a guy was fictional. I'm pretty open minded and don't mind gays (at least not the flaming 'we're here we're queer' ones, but that's a question of personality, not sexuality, which I believe should be separate) but I could never bring myself to have an intimate romantic/sexual relationship with another male, I feel weird just thinking about it.
For the most part of my life, I've identified as straight. I've noticed that girls were attractive, but I've never thought about dating one or having sex with one. That was, until, I met one of my best friends. We became closer then close and started talking about how we found the female body attractive. She came out before I did, since I was still trying to sort out my feelings for her. In eighth grade, I came out to my close friends and pretty much anyone who asked. Five years later, my parents are still clueless as always even when I have sleep-overs with my girl friends (friends that are girls) and it's pretty much a huge cuddle party in my bed (most of my friends are bisexual). My best friend knows about my feelings, but didn't return it. I've dated girls and boys and haven't found a lasting, deep, meaningful relationship, but I'm young and not looking for something too serious yet.

When did you find out and how?
I am really curious about other peoples sexuality, wether it be straight, bi, lesbian, or homosexual.

...What's the difference between a lesbian and a homosexual?

I believe homosexual means 'man loving man' or something along those lines. I wouldn't know for sure unless I looked it up though.

Homosexual means that they are attracted to the same sex and not at all to the opposite, whether they are male or female. The OP may have meant it as homosexual males, though, as you have just said.

As for my story, I identify as lesbian. I have a girlfriend and I absolutely love her! Anyway...I started to question when I was about seven, despite having had crushes on guys in the past. I really don't know what brought it up but I guess I noticed that I was more attracted to females than males. I've had a couple boyfriends in the past and my first girlfriend before my current one and I just enjoyed having a girlfriend more, despite my first hurting me (emotionally, of course). And when I was with my last boyfriend it just didn't feel right. I've never been especially feminine and I generally hang out with guys which is nice. For as long as I can remember I've always just wanted to be 'one of the guys'. I'm quite happy with how things have turned out. biggrin

Ah, ok, thank you! I just remember the analyst person my parents took us to see had said that and wasn't sure of what to believe. Thank you for clearing it up.
I'm bisexual.
I feel some attraction to the male gender, but no attraction to anyone I actually know.
However, sadly for me, males have a less likely chance of 'experimenting in college'.

LOL, I asked the question rhetorically (I knew there was no difference, insofar as a lesbian is a homosexual), and wasn't expecting an answer. I asked to point that out to the OP. XD

Thanks, though. ^^

I noticed XD I was just pointing it out to Cookies, as she was a bit confused on the difference smile
It's something that I don't think much of. I've been sexually attracted to girls, but not too long ago, I've also grown an sexual attraction toward post-op and pre-op trans women. The pre op version reminds me of the female hermaphrodite and I think that's hot. I might be a little bi sexual because of that. Girls look good with either part or both, but I've never felt the same way with guys and their general body structure.

I'm attracted to people for their brains and personality. xD Gender, sex, whatever, has never mattered to me at all, although in reality most of my significant relationships have been with women, maybe just because I have more contact with women. (I went to an all-women college.)

I wonder if that isn't because I did a lot of my growing up and coming to terms with myself online. Gender just isn't important to me at all.
I'm bisexual. I found out when I fell in love with my female best friend at the age of 15/16.

I'm not a 50/50 split between men and women when it comes to relationships. After my relationship with said girl above came to an abrupt end when she started seeing another of my friends behind my back, I haven't been with a woman in a relationship. There's only been two women in all those 9 years who I would have wanted to give it a go with.
I honestly don't know.

All my life I was raised to believe that girls kissing girls was wrong. That any girl x girl was wrong.

A few years ago I started talking to this openly bi girl and realized I developed feelings for her. This was all very strange for me. I'd dated guys before and ignored the impulses I got to look at girls that way because of how I was raised. We dated for a few months and it ended. Nothing besides kissing happened. I never considered anything else with her. It was pure and innocent; nothing sexual.

For awhile there I thought, "Eew, vaginas and penises are disgusting. I don't want either.". Being in a relationship with either gender would be fine as long as we didn't have sex.

Then I started going out with a dude. We ended up not having sex, but got a few bases in. What confused me was I liked it. I was obviously "turned on".

I find girls much more... I hesitate to use the word "attractive"... but the thought of having sex with a girl seems odd.

Having sex with a guy also seems odd, but if I liked what happened between the guy and myself, wouldn't I like sex with a guy?

I dunno. Maybe I'll know for sure after getting more experience. Maybe I should stop trying to define something that I could spend the rest of my life questioning.

Sorry for the wall of text... sweatdrop
