Loss of hope is not that big a deal. Its actually a good thing. Once we let go of hope, new things take its place. Faith, courage, confidence, clarity, love, compassion, etc etc. Not that hope is bad, temporary. We wont need it going forward, that is what faith and courage ie. love is for.

Loss of life is sad, but it can be seen as a passing to another life ie. part of a bigger plan. which works me.

A mon avis (in my opinion), the loss of hope is worse than the loss of life.

If one utterly loses hope, there's no hope of hope returning or of having a good life. No hope, period. Just...emptiness.

At least in the loss of life, one can hope for some form of afterlife or whatever it is they believe in. The ones they leave behind cope (it's what we do). For some, they have the hope that their lost loved one found happiness or release from pain on the other side.

Loss of hope.

If we lose hope, than what do what have to live for? In many cases, people who believed they had lost hope committed suicide, losing their life as well. If we lose our lives, and we still had hope when we died, then that would be something. You would die happy, and since we're all going to die anyways, that's about as much as you can ask for. To die happy, and with hope (:
