.. From one company, and one batch. Your topic made it sound like all BC pills are like this neutral
The pills control and regulate your menstrual cycle. Once you start taking the pills, you take the working pills for three weeks and take the placebo pills just to keep track. You don't need to take the placebo pills, you can throw them away and start taking a new pack after a week. The week that you get your period is the week you're allowed to not take any working pills so you can have your period. This is how its supposed to work

I do not take birth control, and I never really plan to.
I know how to control my sexual activity.
Period control doesn't concern me, it just happens and girls should learn to deal.

Yeah, my best friend should have just learned to deal with the fact that, at the age of 11, she was having to miss two or three days of school a month because she was in so much pain and/or so anaemic that she could pass out if she wasn't sat down. rolleyes

some girls can't deal.
i'm on it is to get rid of the vomit incudcing pain i get from period cramps.
my sister is on a type that gets rid of her period, because she used to have to take prescription pain killers to get rid of her cramps.

the sex is a bonus.

Plus... Pee becomes poison for fishies.
This is legit. It was in several news sources last week. It's really not a HUGE deal, but some packs were sent out with too many active pills or too little active pills. Which means at worst you might miss a couple days of active pills. Just be cautious if you're taking the same brand mentioned.

As for the person who said women should learn to just "deal" with it... I have a cyst on my ovary which causes intense cramps and birth control pills that allow me to skip periods for up to 3 months give my ovary a chance to heal from the cyst. Sometimes there is true medical need for these things, and I'm celibate!

Oh yes, to the one that said to deal, we all just loooooove that much pain, and it's soooo easy to deal.

My cramps get so bad, I'm laying on the bed screaming, while my 17 month-old son is so frightened, he screams and cries even after my cramps go away. My bleeding? Take an ultra tampon, add it to one of those new Always Infinity pads, in half an hour I have blood dripping down my leg.

But I'll just deal...
I heard about this! My friend freaked out temporarily. Hopefully other companies are not making the same mistake. D:

Your first point is fair enough. However, there is always the unfortunate risk of being sexually assaulted against your will. It is useful to have pregnancy protection in such a situation.

I feel strongly against the second point though. I think it is unreasonable to expect someone to 'deal' with their period. I was at risk for brain damage because of the way my period affected my body. I needed monthly blood transfusions so I could walk. I also needed prescription pain killers to avoid vomiting from the pain. Dealing with this on a monthly basis is not an easy task. The pill is extremely useful for those of us who want to experience normal lives. :3

"Just dealing with it" was aimed at the girls who only take birth control so they can be little sexual whores, not towards people who need to take it due to health condition. Also for pain there is aspirin, and yes I get sometimes aspirin is not strong enough.

Now leave me alone and stop quoting me because I don't really care that much.

You made the comment, you got reactions. Now, YOU deal. Nice generalization there, too. Girls who take responsibility and use contraception are whores? The ******** is this, the 18th century?

I am dealing; apparently, you're not.

As I said before, I don't care that much.
