She has a body like an hourglass...
We all know what bullying is. Basically when an action is taken to offend or make someone feel inferior. It can also be words, of course. From what I see, bullying occurs everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean everywhere. Kids are doing it not only offline, but especially on (shitty) websites like Facebook. But why do people do it?
Discuss, LD:
1. Why do people bully in the first place?
2. Have you ever bullied? If so, why did you choose to pick on said person?
3. Have you ever been bullied? What was your experience like?
4. Have you ever known anyone who has been bullied?
5. Ways to prevent bullying
6. Where does bullying mostly happen? (eg. school, the internet, the neighborhood, etc.)
7. What's the most common type of bullying?
I actually used to be a victim of bullying for a while, and I think the reason people bully is that they're just mean-spirited. The most efficient way to get them to back off is to stand up to them. Let them know that you don't like being treated the way you are, and that you deserve respect. Whatever you do, the worse thing that you could do is insult the bully back. That's just sinking down to their level. Do your best to ignore them, and if things go to far, you need to seek some help. Fast.
As for the most common type of bullying, I would say rumors are quite common nowadays. It's mostly indirect bullying, you know how kids are, always gossiping about each other, judging their friends like there's no tomorrow. Personally, I think it's quite a low thing to do. Judging others just makes you seem like a snobby twerp. If you don't genuinely know the person, then don't spread rumors about them. That could cause a whole lot of trouble, I'm not even joking there.
