I was basically getting what what you said I just used different words. The last time I did psychedelic was around the summer time of last year. I ate about a half of mushrooms and went on an adventure of a life time. Probably one of the most intense trips I've ever expierenced besides on 2ce...I thought that I was an indian running around the woods. I thougt that the people around me were indians as well. I thought that I was in a different reality you could say.

Haha sounds awesome. C:
Shrooms are fun~
2cs are fun, too. :') Heavy body load for me, though. :'P

It was awesome, second best trip/expieremnt of my life. Mushrooms are my favorite, then 2ce. I've only done 2ce but I don't know if I would do it again. When I had access to it, I tripped it quite a bit I will admit. That's why I don't know if I would do it again. I honestly want to try DMT and see if I have an outer body expierence like a lot of people have claimed to of have.

DMT is a very incredible experience if done right and treated properly.
It's been a very spiritual thing for me. It's also very intense as you may have already read.
If you're not a regular/avid tripper, I would suggest conditioning your mind a little bit before moving on to DMT (not really necessary, I've met people who have tripped on DMT as their first psychedelic and have been fine afterwards, but...), mainly because the amount of information your brain has to internally process. "Train" your brain into a psychedelic mindset, meditate, keep a dream journal, try lucid dreaming, get in touch with yourself and what you really want out of the trip, and you might get it. :')
It may take a few tries with DMT before you "blast off". In my experience with the substance, it took a few tries before I was prepared for the full trip. The first time, I saw complete darkness and nothing really happened. It wasn't until the second or third try that I really got a good idea of what the effects really were.

That's what I've heard. I honestly think that I would personally be ready for it. Because I am expierenced when it comes to psychedelics, I also meditate on a regular basis. Aren't you supposed to smoke it and have your eyes closed?

I don't know that much about it, I just know that it's called the spirit molecule, and basically everything that you just said.

If you think you're ready, you probably are. :')
There are a couple methods, the most common I've heard is smoking it over a bowl or something. There is also a method of vaporizing it with a machine made out of a small Hennessy bottle. The other methods are relatively unconventional and probably not recommended for recreational use.
You don't really have to close your eyes, it all comes down to personal preference. Sometimes the open-eye visuals get really intense (my boyfriend and I have both seen multiple dimensions in the same field of vision before...). I've found that if you close your eyes, it's easier to "zone out," and some believe it helps them "blast off," or lose all perception of their current reality and lose themselves in the trip completely.
And yes, I've heard it by that name as well. There's a beautiful documentary called "DMT: The Spirit Molecule", it's a good watch and filled with great info!
Another great site with awesome information on a wide variety of substances is http://www.erowid.org

I just figured that if you closed your eyes that it would be more intense for some reason. But you're right, I guess it doesn't really matter. That is crazy! I actually watched that documentary this morning. I get on Erowid all the time, I love that website. The closest thing that I've done to DMT was called 4meo-DMT and it seemed like I was in a lucid dream and everything seemed fake. Also I guess since from what I learned from that documentary this morning mushrooms since the chemical in the mushrooms that make you trip are only like two molecules away from being DMT.

Another cool site I've come across is this:

This guy's kind of a badass. He has a youtube documentary of himself visiting Alexander Shulgin, and another where he takes more ayahuasca than a tribal chief. lol~
And yes, they're in the same tryptamine classification. :')

Have any of you had an experience with psychedelics (any kind, including research chemicals) that made you question your mental stablility?

Any trip that particularly stands out that seems to have changed a major part of your life?

Just curious.

I've never tried psychedelics (and don't plan to), but I'd imagine they would mess with anyone's mental stability while the person is using them. I had assumed that was the point.
