John Lennon "live", Imagine. The sculpture of his face. Beautiful.
Michael Caine + Only fools tribute.
Wheeling the spice girls out on their zimmer frames.
Mercury, singing with the crowd, touching.
Queen. IMO Jesse J was fine. Girl can sing.
Olympic cauldron. Sexiest ever.
Eric Idle. Whole bit. Cannon, dancers and always look on the... =-)
The Who. Their music was played so often in the ceremony. Nice they could make it.
Gary Barlow turning up despite everything.
Elbow! How could I forget.
Massive praise given for the volunteers!
Montage of crying athletes.
Boris Dancing.
Sexy "Pixel" lighting in the stadium!

Bleh.
All the stuff I didn't mention, except the stuff I forgot that was positive/negative.

Negatives.
One direction miming on a lorry, at least they were swiftly driven out of the arena.
Two rappers and Jesse J singing disco? No problem with the artists, but just weird choice.
Didn't have George Michaels stumbling drunkenly from the crash/traffic section at the start. wink
It wasn't Danny Boyle. Was never going to compare.
We couldn't afford Adele? edit: apparently something about her being preggers?
No Robbie? sad
Generally confusing nature of a lot of it.
The queen couldn't give a ********, so we got the Ginger. trying to rob his Sister in law?
David Cameron dancing.
The fashion bit? Made no sense and ugly clothes? dunno
Whatever money we wasted paying Damien Hirst to tie dye our flag? :/

Not to mention the sound problems that were all over: couldn't hear most of the live acts, and they
arranged it so poorly that they had to replay all the songs to get the nations in.

As to the organisational bit, that's the logistics of bringing 10,000 people into the stadium. Something they were required to do. Was much quicker than the opening ceremony flag parade xD

I quite liked that they formed the flag and mingled, covered up the "art" at least xD

I'm certain it wasn't my telly: everything else was loud, but I couldn't hear a word of the Pet Shop
Boys or Madness. There were sound engineers running around between Madness trying to fix it,
if you watch again.
