im trying to transfer money from this account to my mule so that if something were to happen to this account id have a back up account with some money on it. The problem is I dont want to send all the money at once or a large chunk of it cause then Gaia is going to start like moderating my account closely. So what do you think is an acceptable amount of gold to send at a time?

Moderators don't watch your trades unless there is a reason to. There isn't a 'feed' of trades they scan. There is more important things to do.

Well if anything were to happen to this account you're on now, (banned , hacked etc.) it would most likely happen to your mule. I had gotten banned once for a stupid reason and it banned my mule for no reason. So maybe make a few mules , transfer about 200-300k at a time C: Spread it out. <3

Mules that get banned along with mains may indicate an attempt to curtail transferring illegal items from one account to another or if all mules were affected, a major type of fraud has occurred. So if there is suspicion of some illegal activity, no matter how many mules you make and transfer to, they can all get banned as well.
Have you not tried to figure out why you were banned or if you did know, tried to appeal it? You might not agree with the reason, but appealing it can give you some chance to recover them.

Just basing it on a personal experience. I got banned for posting something on forums ( youtube link) telling people to sub and people told me this wasnt allowed, so what did I do..? I removed it . I guess it was to late and I got banned with the rest of my accounts. stare

That does sound familiar and I think the mules were banned for another reason, iirc. Well, most likely a different matter altogether. I think we've gone off topic so I'll stop here.

as long as you got your money legitimately you have no worries about transferring money to and from accounts. many people use mules to run shops or charities and they transfer currency to the main from time to time. Gaia does not look into trades unless there is a report of hacking or botting, something like that.

The only other time you will get in trouble for transferring money is when you are trying to avoid a ban.

i have a storage mule for an art contest. Unless you're doing something against the ToS, you're not in trouble for doing 300k trades into a mule.

To err on the side of caution you can title the trades "Main to Mule"
