Question about caroling...

I have been caroling alot lately and I have been trying to go to different shops to get different gifts, but I keep getting the same gift. I have gotten the one from Meredith 4 times and I have even tried to avoid the bank so I wouldn't get it again and I still got it. Whats up with this?

How to carol

1) Go to one of the NPCs (Non-Playable Character) around in the maps.
2) Hit the to sing to the NPC.
3) Wait about 10 min until you sing to another NPC.
4) The 5th NPC you sing to will give you a giftbox.
5) The giftbox appear in your inventory, but cannot be opened (well duh...it's not 24th yet blaugh )

You DON'T need to:

- Wear christmas outfit
- Post x times

When can you carol?

- 12 pm - ??? GST
Still trying out when it ends... sweatdrop

- Evening until midnight GST
6pm - 12am GST

Note that the carol button doesn't show up during the other hours.

What is known so far

- It takes a couple minutes before you can carol. (about 10)
- You can't sing to the same NPC twice, after you get a present, however, you can sing to them again.
- You get a gift after caroling to 4-5 NPCs: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/Mattitude/Christmas.jpg
- The presents cannot be opened yet.
- Logan says: "Christmas and Fishing Doesn't Mix" xd
- You can get more than one giftbox.
- You can sing between evening and midnight.
Update: - Even if you logged out, the NPCs will remember that you've caroled for them.

The Presents!

Seems like it depends on the last NPC you sing to on which present you receive.
Update: Color depends on which town. The items says which NPC you got it from. (i.e. Xmas gift from Vanessa)

I think you have to sing to all of the NPC's, and then santa will come and give you your present. ^_^

I think you have to do them in certain orders liek the halloween Jack event.

My theory is, that you must
sing to all of the NPCs in order
to get a gift...just a thought xD

You Sing To All Of The NPC's In All Of The Towns, You Get Your Present And Then You Sing Again There Is NO Order...As Of Now (Hopefully)

You May Be Able To Only Get ONE Present. Im Not Sure!

I'm pretty sure that the present depends on where you carol. Gambino is Blue, Durem is Brown, and Barton is Green. (I think.. )

If Meredith was the 5th person to whom you sang, then Meredit gets you a gift... it depends on who's the fifth NPC you sing to 3nodding

Its probably because the 5th person you carol to is Meredith. When you sing to the 5th NPC, make sure each time its someone different.

I think I went to where Ruby was and she said she gave me a gift and when I checked it, it was one from Meredith
