Opinions on Chance Packs

Do you usually get good items? I'm really interested in getting one, but I want to get items that are worth what I paid ya know? In the past I've bought the single chances, but it was a waste.

Usually it's a good idea to check the item list threads in the GCD.
People will talk about their chances somewhere in the middle of the thread when the list is first being formed...
It also lets you see what items can be won from the rig. Usually the more expensive items on the list are more rare, so if you want one of those, be warned that your chances of getting it are slim.

I know the expensive items are rare. I'm more interested in whats your chances of getting medium priced items. Like not expensive, but not super cheap.
