You can't get gold with gaia cash. You can get items from the Cash shop that will sell for gold if you sell it in the marketplace though.
$10 = 1000 GC and $25 = 2500 GC
It all depends on what you buy, but if you want to earn gold I guess you should buy the RIG bundle with a $10 or $25 card. Since it's worth about 500k.
