So we've all been hearing a lot about Victoriana and Steampunk in the last week or so, especially with the advent of these new Time Machine MCs. What I'd like to do is solidify all that into one simple forum, where people can get together, and Mods can check into without having to go threadsurfing.
Here's my proposal - anybody who wants to see some form of Victoriana or Steampunk gear, suggest it. Please DON'T propose:
Frock Coats
Cravats
Vests
Giant Wrenches
Misc. Tools
We WANT to see these items, but they're so obvious that they hardly even need suggestion. However if you'd like to see a certain STYLE of any of these that's not exactly orthodox or ordinary ("Swallow-tail" frock coats, white silk cravats, double-breasted vests, etc.) please do so.
To those who DON'T want to see Victoriana or Steampunk gear, I simply request that you only mention so if you can think of a Gaia-wide reason why this shouldn't exist here. If your only reason not to see such things is because you wouldn't buy it or wouldn't wear it, then that's all well and good, but that's personal taste, so it's not exactly relevant. Of course, since this is an open forum, feel free to ignore this request.
And on that note, let the Victoriana commence!
FIRST UPDATE:
A website I found some time ago with some beautiful clothing. It's essentially a catalog for Victorian-era clothing.
The Gentleman's Emporium
And for those who don't trust links: www.thegentlemansemporium.com
If any devs are paying attention to this thread pay close attention to the vests section; It appears most Victorian-era vests had lapels.
