Wouldn't be bad. Ever played Arcanum: Of Steamwork and Magick Obscura? Old videogame that went into Steampunk Fantasy territory. (Dwarves with shotguns are nasty buggers.) One of the technological items you could create was an electrically-charged sword. Later in the same discipline you could create a Tesla Rod which could fire actual bolts of electricity.

That's pretty awesome. Gaia could call it the Volta Rod : D

Not all of this stuff has to be technological, either. Gaia is still a Fantasy site by and large. We could do with some Fantasy Victoriana as well. Things such as Dorian Grey's portrait.

Not direct ripoffs, but the game was a great example of steampunk technology.

For example, we don't have any type of diving-suit yet.



Or what about the weapons? Bioshock showed some of the best steam-guns to date. (Unlike those previously posted.)

I did love the firearms. Unfortunately it's unlikely we'll see guns.

We'll have guns eventually. They can integrate well into gaia's fantasy theme, and are already introduced in the plot. (Don't forget that we already have the ghost-zapper and the bee movie gun) The whole anti-guns-for-gaia movement is bullshit made up of GCD and SF elitists who think they can control the direction of the site.
