Yay, more girly recolors! smile I see my Lucky Chest came back today too. I was wondering where it went yesterday. Usually it sits in the header every single day even when I decline.

I never even see the lucky chest anymore. Maybe it's because the godawful way they centered the site doesn't mesh well with the fact that I don't put my browser on fullscreen.

Is it bad I still miss when the advertisements for new "cash" items were physical merch? Yes, I was on back then...there were a lot less ads then, and the announcements were always exciting! Back then, it didn't feel like it was bad to not spend cash on the site, and getting a MC was still called "donating". Why did Gaia have to go all cash-grabby? I remember being annoyed when La Victore originally opened - it meant I - who refuses to waste money on pixels on a site I'll eventually get sick of - wouldn't be able to do things with my avatar other people could. I could deal with it when it was one item a month and awesome stuff was still coming out for the gold shops. But...once they stopped regularly developing for the gold shops, it started to get old.

I'm kind of in the same shoes as you. I was severed from internet for 2 months and it just happened to be when they decided to Adnouncement every little thing and made Flynn a bigger whore than she already was. When you come back and see 10 announcements, you usually think of good things. Sadly, when I'm on Syndrone I still cringe when they release an announcement, even though they are far from the money-hungry hungry hippos.

I wanted that plush SOOO bad. But that was back when my mom refused to shop online. I was only a 7th Grader, so not old enough to have that much money on my own. I am so upset about the Cash Shop. What person in their right mind spends that much money on a still image?

In fact, I just quit the club verge guild because essentially, it does the same thing.
I almost feel like gaia is planning on shutting down, but it squeezing us for every penny we're worth before it does.
I mean 35$ for A SINGLE ITEM??? REALLY? I used to feel like gaia valued my dollar, with the amount of effort put into one item worth $2.50, tops $10. Now, with monthly collectables, the new theme seems to be lazily ripping off character from franchises and the ten billion dollar one day sale items from the cash shop are like RIG items AT BEST.







unfortunately I think a lot of people are assuming the exact same thing, that gaia's just tanking itself and trying to milk its userbase for all it's worth before the ship hits the ocean floor.
at this point it's a pretty reasonable assumption :/ the added talk of them making a new 18+ site that will not be connected to this place at all doesn't help

...That is the moment for a ninja to strike.

Speaking of which, don't suppose anyone knows anything further about the site, like a name, so I and everyone else I know can avoid it like the plague in the future?
