I have renamed this thread in order to encompass all gold generators, so Flynn is gone from the title. It is focused on all GGs now, Flynn simply being the one that caused this mess. Just wanted to note that if anyone is confused about the title change.

If any Gaia admin, or devs, or anyone who is responsible for the site wide polls, if you are happening to read this, the majority of members who have issued comments on this thread (as well as countless others I'm sure), would like to have an official, Gaia created poll addressing the majority of people who like vs dislike the constant release of Flynn's Booty.

Spoke with Zero Omega briefly, who stated that being rude was never his intention, nor did he see it that way, but merely wants some sort of evidence, & that this poll will help in some small way, though I haven't heard back from him on the idea to limit the amount of releases of FB.
Also PMed Sisky on the issue of creating a site wide poll for this subject. Awaiting her reply.

FB has been re-released again, marking the second time since the gold sink was introduced, & this marks the 5-7 (I lose track anymore...) that it has been released since its initial introduction on August 22nd, not even 2 full months. Slowly we are all losing faith that this monster will ever be quelled & providing more fuel to the angered fire for many users.

I will be compiling a large list of polls/threads/petitions/etc. that show the displeasure in Flynn's Booty & her releases, from a large variety of forums. Once I have this data I will then PM it to Zero Omega, along with a list of what I can find for those in favor of FB (to make it somewhat comparative), so please post any links to threads that have a large source of information to make this process easier! :3
I have sent a PM to Zero with a small list of data from those in favor vs. those against from the time FB was released on 10.15.13, with all but one thread saying that they disliked it or had some negative opinion. Awaiting his reply.

Here are some stats I collected concerning the decline of sales in the MP of Flynn's Booty, Flynn's Chest, & Flynn's Booty Bundle:

Flynn's Booty:
~44k starting number of purchases to ~1k in current number of purchases = 98% decrease from initial release.
Flynn's Chest:
~525-550 units to ~200 units = 62-64% decrease from initial release.
Flynn's Bundle:
~790 to 50-60 = 92-94% decrease from initial release.

* this is based upon Market Place graph data on number of purchases, as we have no knowledge of Cash Shop declines or raises. However the sheer number of people not as willing t buy it is substantial evidence in & of itself.

[Update 6]:
&....Flynn's Booty & Chest (not to mention a chest bundle) have been released YET again. This marks the 7th release since it's initial release on August 22nd. 7 in 2 months, which equals (roughly) 3.5 times per month, or once a week if you want to do the math.

Flynn's Booty & Chest were released in the cash shop for the 8th time.
I have updated Marketplace sale statistics for FB & FC:

Flynn's Booty:
~400k units to ~500 units = 99.875% decrease in sales since release. (*Note that I could have easily rounded to 100% decrease, though since that isn't feasible I kept it as is).

Flynn's Chest:
~525-500 units to ~100 units = 81-82% decrease.

Obviously, people in the MP are making their statement that no one is truly buying them anymore. Gaia is nearly at 100% decrease in purchasing from the first time it was released. It isn't CS data, of course, as I will never be able to have that sort of information, but it is a staggering drop.

[Update 7]:
And again...another release of FB & FC, this marking the 9th time. Now it appears that Gaia is releasing them just one week apart, since the last was done on Oct. 26th, & one today on Nov. 3rd. One week between re-releases? Is there any hope for the economy now? Things are not looking any better.

It seems as if they will constantly be releasing Flynn's Booty on a weekly basis, & have not made any attempts at compromising on this.

Since Gaia has decided to keep releasing FB countless times...I haven't kept up with how many times they've released it on here. That would be redundant.
They released it yet again right after their massive Black Friday 'sale'. I guess there's no point in giving us even a momentary break from pushing cash items, FB, or GC on us.

I also included in the title the other gold generators, since in all honesty...I really am beginning to hate them all. So unnecessary. I will not change the poll, however, as to not disrupt the numbers, but if you have opinions of the newest gold generators (divinity's reach & now 'coin toss') that can be discussed in here as well.

Yes, by now everyone has seen this week's ATA, knows that Zero Omega stated that Flynn's overly sized Booty will be released yet again, & more or less all of us doubt they have any plans of stopping that MP destroying fiasco.
However, in one post, he asked a user how they could state that more people hate FB than love it, since apparently we have no 'facts.' See the post for yourself:

Now, to me this is easily remedied: why not have a poll? Well, since we probably know it will not be in their favor (much like the hotly detested centered site idea), I doubt they'll do it, thus leaving us to have no proof & unable to answer such a question.

That is where we come in.
Let's have a poll to see precisely where people stand on the matter. Surely then we shall have some proof, yes? Maybe not enough to sway the admin nor the marketing staff behind FB, but enough to prove our point home so that they can no longer reply with 'Where is the proof?'.

The question is straightforward, as is the answer. No, there will not be any middle ground choice, since that sways the data in a direction of...basically nowhere. If you have no opinion, then it doesn't help nor hurt, & we are looking for actual answers.
Vote away, let our voices be heard.

Unfortunately, all this poll will really do is highlight how many people dislike Flynn's Booty that visit the SF. It may not be all the people who do, and certainly doesn't factor in the people willing to buy it. For all we know, tens of thousand of people do buy it regularly when it shows up. I'm fairly certain that we won't likely get that many voters. gonk

Well, I know it was a biased poll from the beginning, but honestly I wanted to have some sort of measure of people just based solely in numbers who favor or disfavor the idea. I should have thought it through a bit more, but meh. For the time being it will do. I should create a more...neutral one later on. My mind is truly spent from school today so I'm not as rational & thorough as I usually am XD

Which is a shame, since I do experimentation in grad school all day. I should know better XP

That was more or less the point.
I know they easily have access to numbers due to sales for FB. What they don't have, & which was highlighted in that post, was the fact that they don't have any 'fact' to show how many people -dislike- it. Since obviously it's hard to know if not buying it means either a) you hate it or b) i simply don't have the funds. So It's just a way to get an idea. Won't really be used for much, since I doubt many admins even look here anymore.

Problem is, Site Feedback and GCD doesn't comprise the entirety of Gaia. We do not know how users in other forums that never venture into SF or GCD, users who use guilds exclusively, or users who exclusively use the flash spaces feel about Flynn's Booty/Chest.

Agreed. It's as if they truly aren't looking here, which all of us sort of expected...but that more or less made it set in stone. They truly don't have a grasp on the number of people who dislike FB since they obviously never make any trips to even pass a glance at the SF forum >>;

& I know, I basically understand that this isn't going to get anywhere, but eh. It gives a rough idea of the number of people it's affecting. A sitewide one should be issued & I have no idea why it hasn't been already, but maybe after noticing this they will? Who knows.

I know. But this mostly is just trying to get a rough idea down. It'll give them something at the very least. A site wide issued poll would be better, as I said here as well as in the ATA thread, but of course I doubt that'll happen. Even if there was one & they had a clear answer that no, people do not like FB, they would ignore it again just like they did with the centered site issue. Meh. So this is just basically to get some numbers, & give a brief overlook of how people like or dislike it. That's all.

Maybe this will make them do it? Especially since I have a feeling it'll overwhelmingly be a no answer, & it's limited to the SF, so they'll want to get everyone from all over the site....probably in attempt to have others not always in SF vote yes XD //sneaky.
