If these kids want to send naked pictures of themselves to people they'll find a way to do it even if the GD is shut down. And these users are violating the TOS when they post this stuff, so Gaia is in no danger of being shut down over this.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the GD right now too, but I don't think that nuking it is the right way to go about solving this.

I think the whitelist thing is the best idea. Just block any images that are not hosted on photobucket, tinypic etc. There's no reason not to use one of these services (you don't even have to sign up to use tinypic) and they don't allow adult material, so that would solve the problem.

Setting preferences to Whitelisting doesn't solve the problem, that is just putting a bandage over it. Or ignoring it.

I meant that Gaia shouldn't allow images from any other hosts, not that we should all just set our preferences to whitelisted images. As in, it shouldn't be an option.

If the shitstorm is in the GD, I don't think that making Gaia P2P would clear out everything.

And having to pay to be on this site? I wouldn't. I'd start selling off everything, host one huge art buyout, and leave.

Gaia needs every dollar its getting from people, and making it P2P would prolly make it harder to survive. You're opinion is fine and good, but it won't solve this issue.

Disabling images in the GD will result in taking over other forums, and i know you think mods will take care of it quicker, but really, there aren't enough mods to weed out the spam that will happen in the other forums upon doing this.

The Gd, at the moment, is just a ...Troll Headquarter.
When i first started Gaia and visited the Gd, it was my most favourite Forum. It was Fun, had lot of nice and funny Discussions, but now... there are almost just stupid kids who think they are Promis, if they post senseless garbage. The ******** Trolls who are spamming Gore/Porn Pics are the worst. Last time, someone posted dead baby Bodies, i got Nightmares! sweatdrop

I have seen inappropriate pictures posted in just about every section of Gaia, may it be zOMG!,MS, or any of the entertainment sections.

Gaia has already given users the option to block images on this site. Thats about the best they can do.

You don't need images with discussion and if you do you can link to them. Yes with any forum there is the possibility, but it happens in abundance in the GD.
Yes we are singling the the GD out because it is a problem and it is out of control.
It maybe unfair, but its a problem that needs to have some kind of action taken in it.
We pay for a lot of things when we've done nothing wrong; like not being able to name rooms in games because of abuse.
This is the same thing. Image posting is being abused in the GD. So image posting should be disabled in the GD.

I would have it removed all together.... Disabling images in the GD won't do squat because all they would do is move to another forum to troll.. But setting it up so people can't post large or repeated images would be good...

Let them go to other forums. Unlike the GD they will actually get reported and reported and reported until they give up and go away.

Users out side of the GD have no issues PMing links to any online forum mod as any can trash threads like that.
