that they just can't put as many different items on the animal base as they can on the human one.

Yeah, they probably also flaked out because new base = needing to make actual NEW items, from scratch, not just shitty recolors of items that are already made.

Considering that the EI stuff and Alchemy stuff is already done I can totally see why they went ahead and tossed those in there. Mountains out of molehills in this case. If it's already made why should anyone have to wait for the items?

In the kickstarted animal bases even got first dibs on getting an item made for them, which is currently guaranteed since hitting 25 tril. Human bases have to wait another 10 and the counter seems to be around 26 tril, but that wouldn't fit into your "Gaia hates us T:" scheme, huh?

I dunno. I'm all for criticizing them but that's a little harsh.
They do still make new items for the human base after all.
I don't count them or tally them up against the number of recolors we get, but they do still make some new stuff.
So that's not really a reason.

However, it is probably easier to make things like shoes for the human base because they simply have more pixel space than on the animal base.
But that doesn't mean they couldn't make other things.

While we're at this: ever since they released the animal bases, I've been confused by wigs for them.
The hair items on them just feel so ... misplaced. o.o

anyway, to the issue at hand. yeah, it seems gaia tends to mostly make girly items as of recently and forget about the rest of the user base. Lucky for me I've been into lolita lately, but over all the girly lacy pastel s**t IS being over done.

Keep in mind, there were initially only bikini's being given out and they just recently added trunks, so hopefully this means they'll add something for animal avatars. I really adore them but their aren't enough items making it worth it for me to switch over. I think a snorkel mask or fins, or something very basic would be super adorable and not even that much effort for them to do... TmT I hope they come out with something because I feel like too much of the community is being ignored and I'd like events to include everybody.

sometimes i will go out and buy a new item and realize it is exactly the same as another one i already have... girly, lacey and pastel stare (this isn't always a problem, but, i do feel bad for the other people on gaia who don't wear these items).
And I did not know that they only gave out bikinis! What a shame that none of the male avatars got anything until now. I would love and appreciate a little snorkel or cute little bathing suit! When they gave out the animal 4OJ bows (even though they weren't very gender neutral) it was cute to see all the paws wearing them!
I feel like the community is falling apart and that they are really only catering to the largest denomination (while this is common to happen, we all have a right to receive items. we are giving them our money, i don't see why we all shouldn't get something back).

That's specifically why I never invested into Animals. I saw it as a way to cut my "needed" items by a third.

I just can't help but point out this is how Male avis feel. They fund these Kickstarters and all we get is useless female items. (As a female, I still maintain this fluff and lolita has gotten old.)

It's sad that I've come to expect Paws being excluded from events.
There was so much hype behind the animal bases, but as with many new features these days, they're quick to be forgotten about.

I feel like Paws haven't gotten a worth while update in a long time.
Not to mention the inventory in LV right now is pathetic. Seriously.

I feel bad ignoring my Paw avatar, but it's like... nothing interesting has come out.
With all the new things coming out for human bases, it's like, why bother?

Gaia needs to get on the ball. :/

Really?

Look at the event, it's totally exclusive from Paws, and it took hella long time for the trunks to even make the scene because not everyone wears bikinis at the beach. Last time I checked, events are supposed to be for everyone on the site, especially one that we as the userbase paid for.

Don't get me started on sorely lacking simple updates such as moving the position of an item, basic one pose stuff.

And considering how much stuff that human bases get on a regular basis, I hardly think that waiting for "oh man another odd trill" is really a hard sell considering how much Paws get shafted when it comes to items in general.

Look right now at Cash shop items. Tell me how much is being sold for Animals specifically and not to human bases. Look at the gold shops. Look at the majority of tier items from the past couple of kickstarters. Human bases outnumber what the paws get considerably, especially when it comes to any kind of event.

It bugs me that the later Go Fusion tiers were implemented, but someone couldn't take the time to add some Paws items in there? It's the second tier!

I personally never cared for the bases, anyway.

It threw a huge damn monkey wrench into the entire Gaia mythos. They have no back story to speak of, except for this. "Civilized [Animal]s appeared one day!" said Rufus. --that is not much of an introduction. Even the Manga ignores them.

It would be different if they were more humanoid or more animal. Instead they are caught in between and have a different art style to them- they are so much more chibified than the humanoids and are completely mismatched in anatomy. They belong on a different website, really.



Given that I really can't say that I am personally sour about the way they are treating a feature that was never asked for, but the least they could do is treat it evenly since they already introduced it and continue to expect people to shell the cash out for them.

I really don't like the animal bases I always found them too awkward to deal with, and I really dislike their items more. But it is wrong of a site to bring something in and then drop it.
