I have a complaint, and I'm sure others will have the same one, so I speak for everyone who had this thought:

Scroll bars on the side of posts is the dumbest idea I have ever seen. Get rid of it, some of us have role plays and posting formats that will be forever ruined if this keeps up. Not to mention it's a waste of time. We only need one scroll bar, Gaia, and it's on the side of the whole page-- not on the side of a post.

example: Pointless Scroll bar, right side. Although I've heard of it being on the bottom of posts, too.

edit: example: I found a bottom scroll example! Pointless Scroll bar, bottom.

So I vote, and I bet others will agree, that we get rid of this feature and fix parts of the site that actually need to be fixed.


On another note, this is just my opinion and a few others have said the same to me, but with the tip jars, I feel that we should be able to type in how much we donate. 25 gold is like finding 25 cents, American currency. It won't make any difference, and you probably won't even notice that you have it.

edit: In the style of Tonic, I will gather some random thoughts that I've seen/heard people talking about that deal with all of the changes.

In a PM conversation, I mentioned the scroll bar changes. Reaction?

Agreed.

Urgency: I see no point in the scroll bar. It's pointless and stupid.

And while you're 'fixing' the site, it's just breaking more. every time I hit preview not only is there this blob of wasted space making my post seem longer, but all of my text moves over out of the bubble where it should be. Also, every time someone posts one line, there's a bunch of empty, wasted space. Seriously, there's much more important things than the scroll bar.

Gaia, you fail. It's not forums, dumba**es. It's PMs.

Which brings my complaint: The forums were perfect, the guilds and PMs should work the same way then be left alone until a glitch or bug is found, not some idea you think will be better. Most of the time people just keep complaining about it, however you do nothing to make it better.

Basically: Gaia, the only thing keeping me and basically everyone I know is the RPing population, which you're slowly screwing over with all these different changes that everyone hates.

On the scroll bar: did you think of what this may mean for posting formats, or were you too busy looking over zOMG and the towns?

On tipping posts: nobody cares about 25 gold, and quite frankly even in large amounts it won't make you any richer. Plus nobody will ever notice they were tipped. Either make it a larger amount or get rid of it. Better yet, let us choose how much we give them; and if you do that add a password protection.
