So whats the deal with the Yemaya's Pearl?

As a professional artist...I am a little surprised they don't have all the poses done before they offer it up for sale. That way they can just add them when it's time.

I am not upset that it hasn't evolved yet though, I really didn't even notice it was late.

They most likely have a sketch of what they want to do, or like to think of things as they go along. Though I do think finishing up an EI before hand would be a good idea.

But the Artist also take hints from Users who like to see a certain item in the EI. So they keep things open for change.

Currently Tengu is doing "Yemaya's Pearl" and "Stolen Mesozoic DNA"
That's about 5 EI's at once. Between Drink and reapersun, they do the most EIs. I think they are also the fastest.

Yeah... I understand the bitching about the Yemaya not being out yet, but I'm waiting patiently because I have high expectations for Drinky~ Drinky always pulls through in some way or another.

What is the ******** deal? I thought it would have finished right around when the Reed did, but no, we got an 8th set of poses. That was cool. But now it's been over a month, and it is two weeks overdue, and three weeks if one goes by the schedule it started out on! evil scream

@Kuriix: I hope you get to wait months upon months for something you dearly want and paid for, and then when you dare raise a voice asking why it isn't done, we can smack down your wishes, hopes, and dreams like a red-headed rented step-child mule hybrid.

Whenever i pay for something i know the risks.
Buying EI's come with certain risks.
-the items could tun out crap and worthless.
-the whole EI project could be abandoned for months.

Gaia has never ever guaranteed you something when you bought the item you should have known the risks.
also the EI isn't an expensive one either you know.
Others like the gogh reed and nightmare are almost twice as expensive so those are more important to them.

Gaia doesn't have to be professional about things.
Gaia doesn't owe an explaination and they don't need to make up for it.
it even says so in the TOS that your acount can be taken away at any time whenever they think they have the right to do so and all the real life money you spend on cash will have gone to waste and you cannot fight it because you have been warned before hand.

if you don't like suprises then don't take risks.

( i'm not saying it's okay to abandon an EI project or anything but it is extremely stupid to whine and b***h about something that you could have known before hand. )

That's nice. We, as customers, don't have to take unprofessional behavior and shoddy products lying down, either. You've said nothing in there on why we should stop asking for the finished product of what we've paid for, nor explained why you marched into the thread, calling us all whiny children because we want the finished product after a lengthy, unexplained wait.

Hunny, if you can wait three weeks (it's regular schedual) than you can wait a few weeks more for it to evolve.
I'm not sure what's going on with Drinky, but I can honestly wait for Yemaya to evolve. It's not really on my top priority after it stopped being a purple-blue.

I do like the fact that we have gotten so many generations from this one item. Perhaps since it has taken so long for it to evolve we will get an extra set of poses? I've heard from a couple of artists that if an item doesn't evolve on time it could be because the artist in question didn't feel that the poses they had created were up to par or that they didn't have enough of them.

Perhaps that is the case here? The suspense is killing me either way but perhaps this means the final evolution will be something super amazing?!

On topic: I think if the Report at least posted a reason why it hasn't evolved we wouldn't have people getting as mad over this.
The lack of communication is starting to piss people off.
They can at least add something in like "The so-And-So is not evolving this week because something came up, it will be evolving next week, sorry for the inconvenience".

I haven't been back there in months and months, I just wish something had been said on-site, as it's bad enough we have to keep tabs on 500 trillion different places on Gaia to find out things, much less having to go to the rest of the internet as well. xp
