If something like a car accident or what ever type of emergency happened to an artist, then Gaia should tell the users that.
I can accept a "Oh hey guys, just so you know, the artist who does such and such item got hit by a train and may be in the hospital for a few weeks recovering so the item evolution will be delayed until said time/further notice".
To just leave it hanging there with no sort of an explanation is very unprofessional of a business (which is what Gaia likes to consider itself) to do.

I don't see how that's any of our business. I'd be furious if my company disclosed to a third party details about my personal life. It'd be nice for Gaia to acknowledge that there will be a delay, but, geez, leave the artists alone. Drinky's usually really good about her items, too, so I'm will to cut her some slack.

When it involves a persons money real life money then I really wouldnt give a damn if they were mad about it. Because we are owed an explanation.

This.
We do the right thing and give them money to keep the site running, they don't even give us enough respect to explain what the hell is going on with the EI's?
Seriously, the inconsistency is getting worse...
It appears that they have caused themselves too much work by constantly bringing in EI's, but they really need to be explaining their actions.

Making Pixel Panties, 1k is the asking price- HIATUS until the new year sorry.

I noticed how people are saying that Gaia shouldnt disclose their workers personal life information. And while that is true, it is also true that they should let their customers know what is going on.

Its not like we are asking for a full medical history. A simple "Hey guys, this item will not be evolving this week do to some issues that have been requested to not be disclosed. We understand your upset and hope that you will hang in there with us while we try to get it back on track ASAP."

There, simple and giving us atleast something that doesnt give away any personal information. Not that much to ask for.

I'm willing to wait for quality as judging by the Lotus (which I love for all the Yoga and Indian visuals!) we're in for a treat!

Really hoping we get some new surfboard designs in the Pearl!

p.s. Giving feedback is one thing guys, but bitching can be a bit immature especially when it becomes personal.

Until it clashes with a person's basic right to a little privacy. Sorry, Drinky's personal life is not your business, nor mine, even if we do have money invested in it.

This is what I would like. Just simple acknowledgment.

Oh dear you've had to wait TWO WEEKS for your precious pearl to evolve? My damn Case has been waiting for a full month D<

It's not a contest to see who's had to wait the longest. The point is that we shouldn't be waiting this long.

I don';t see the point of complaining about a delay though, your item doesn't get taken away, you've payed for it so they HAVE to finish evolving it so why throw a fit if you have to wait a LITTLE longer ?

Exactly. I paid for it. Which means if it was evolving on a certain schedule then it should keep with that schedule, or at least give mention of WHY it's delayed. It's bad PR to put things off and not inform the customer what's going on.

Like I mentioned in another thread, they're making their staff over worked, and it's causing their paying customers to get upset.

Complete agreement - oh, and by the way, the last time it evolved was JULY 31ST. It's on a three-week schedule, and I've been waiting ever since the Reed finished, so that I can do a Reed/Pearl inspired avvie! This is so frustrating, and it really pisses me off we haven't heard a damn thing. Last week I figured we got a tiny evolution because RIG crap was being made, and now we have yet another week where nothing I like is evolving for whatever inexplicable reason. How about Kottan Bell, which last evolved July 24th (and no, I don't count the mini-evolution. I have a third gen, so that meant jack s**t for me)? How about the Reve, which last evolved on August 7th?

It is nice that Titan did something at long last, but is it really so ******** hard to tell us what's going on behind the scenes that's causing the delay? I don't know when evo reports stopped being a big deal at HQ, but they NEVER stopped being a big deal for EI-loving Gaians! scream

SERIOUSLY?!?!?! ANOTHER WEEK!!!?!?!?!?!?

I just love the Monarch Gown!!!

As a professional artist...I am a little surprised they don't have all the poses done before they offer it up for sale. That way they can just add them when it's time.

I am not upset that it hasn't evolved yet though, I really didn't even notice it was late.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?! ANOTHER WEEK!!!?!?!?!?!?

AGREES WITH CAPSLOCK OF RAAAAAAAAAGE.

What is the ******** deal? I thought it would have finished right around when the Reed did, but no, we got an 8th set of poses. That was cool. But now it's been over a month, and it is two weeks overdue, and three weeks if one goes by the schedule it started out on! evil scream

@Kuriix: I hope you get to wait months upon months for something you dearly want and paid for, and then when you dare raise a voice asking why it isn't done, we can smack down your wishes, hopes, and dreams like a red-headed rented step-child mule hybrid.

Depends,
Whenever i pay for something i know the risks.
Buying EI's come with certain risks.
-the items could tun out crap and worthless.
-the whole EI project could be abandoned for months.

Gaia has never ever guaranteed you something when you bought the item you should have known the risks.
also the EI isn't an expensive one either you know.
Others like the gogh reed and nightmare are almost twice as expensive so those are more important to them.

Gaia doesn't have to be professional about things.
Gaia doesn't owe an explaination and they don't need to make up for it.
it even says so in the TOS that your acount can be taken away at any time whenever they think they have the right to do so and all the real life money you spend on cash will have gone to waste and you cannot fight it because you have been warned before hand.

if you don't like suprises then don't take risks.

( i'm not saying it's okay to abandon an EI project or anything but it is extremely stupid to whine and b***h about something that you could have known before hand. )

Actually they don't make the poses before hand because they actually do listen to suggestions.
they start a theme and when allot of people request certain things they can be inspired to make it.
they ofcourse can't listen to everyone and always make all the requests but i have seen many EI's that took a few requests and used them in their next evo~

Oh pearl, how I love and miss you. ; ~;
Evoooolve. I am sick of this current evolution. Dx My hoard wants new pretties!

They most likely have a sketch of what they want to do, or like to think of things as they go along. Though I do think finishing up an EI before hand would be a good idea.

But the Artist also take hints from Users who like to see a certain item in the EI. So they keep things open for change.

Currently Tengu is doing "Yemaya's Pearl" and "Stolen Mesozoic DNA"
That's about 5 EI's at once. Between Drink and reapersun, they do the most EIs. I think they are also the fastest.

Tengu does interesting work and I'm sure it's challenging to do 5 EIs at once.
but the pearl has not evolved in SO long. emo
