The one thing that gets me, is that they can
pump out new EI's while others have been
delayed for what feels like quite awhile now.

It's to replace the Reed that ended, and its the first EI for a little while; And just because SOME artists are delaying, doesn't mean all of them are.

Corrections, corrections.

Fully aware of that.

neutral

Regardless, the delay(s) are causing unrest among those
who pay Cash for their EI's. I don't spend money on Gaia,
but the unrest is stirring up an unnecessarily large amount
of complaint threads & turning others off to EI's.

Overall, the delays don't bother me much, as I'm busy with
other things at the moment, but in my opinion, they should
at least give it some time before releasing a new EI or two.
There are other items that could use some attention, after all.

My post is opinion-based. An inquiry of the sorts.
Not a complaint. Not an angry response to delays.
Just something that's been on my mind for a bit.

Fine if that's your opinion so be it, and don't ******** correct me you are not my teacher.
And i agree that existing EI should be taken care of before creating tons of new ones confused

Theres something i don't get, on the EI announcement, it says;

Timmy: Whoa! Wait a second, Doc! Looks like there's one more!

Dr. Singh: Sweet jumping Overseer, Timmy, you're right! It looks like we've got an out-of-the-blue surprise update to a mysterious aquatic EI! We'll leave it to your imaginations to figure out which item we're talking about. But, yeah, who saw that one coming?

.....but theres no new items on my pearl... ? Is there another aquatic item i'm forgetting here?

If something like a car accident or what ever type of emergency happened to an artist, then Gaia should tell the users that.
I can accept a "Oh hey guys, just so you know, the artist who does such and such item got hit by a train and may be in the hospital for a few weeks recovering so the item evolution will be delayed until said time/further notice".
To just leave it hanging there with no sort of an explanation is very unprofessional of a business (which is what Gaia likes to consider itself) to do.

I don't see how that's any of our business. I'd be furious if my company disclosed to a third party details about my personal life. It'd be nice for Gaia to acknowledge that there will be a delay, but, geez, leave the artists alone. Drinky's usually really good about her items, too, so I'm will to cut her some slack.

When it involves a persons money real life money then I really wouldnt give a damn if they were mad about it. Because we are owed an explanation.

Gaia doesn't even need to go into specifics about the delay; something like "The artist of (item name here) apologizes for the delay, which was brought on due to unforeseen circumstances. He/She thanks everyone for their patience and understanding."

Something like that would be sufficiently placating.

Yes, that's my opinion, and your input is appreciated, but your
attempt to offend/insult me is quite irrational & very unnecessary.

neutral

Correcting others is a bad habit of mine. It's something you'll
have to forgive me for, as I do it to just about everyone I quote.
In no way was it intended to be offensive.

Other than that, if you can't accept the fact that I have an opinion
that differs from you on a site that promotes constructive criticism of
its features & new releases of the like, then I'd appreciate it if you could
at least avoid responding to me negatively, to avoid any altercations.

Thank you.
I'm not sure why there are comparisons between Yemaya's last evolution and Pietro's introduction and who is more upset by which, since they both happened on the same day. So everybody involved should be somewhat equally frustrated.

Sounds sufficient, as users tend to be, but aren't always more
accepting when Gaia acknowledges both the problem(s) and the concern
that users show in response to any specific problem(s).

The EI developers have lives too you know. Maybe they were called away for an emergency. If you were making something for other people, but an emergency came, you would go. It happens. Patience, people.

I feel for Drinky, but if there was an emergency the Gaia staff should tell us about the delays, or give the item to another artist

Like they did with L0cke?

I agree.
I'm definitely not buying anything again made from that artist. If something was happening IRL, they could at least say something.

-edit-
Has it really only been half a month? It seemed like much more.

The artist works on several EI'S at a time, and this is only like the First item we have had a big delay with. No need to blame the artist for it geeze, for all you know Gaia decided to reschedule so it's only two or three EI's evolving every week,.

Well if they can't handle the work load then they shouldn't take so much on.
All I can think of is that they must get a hell of a kick-back from the income from EI's
