I do understand. I've read over 5 articles on it in Health Class, I've talked to real anorexic people, and hell, one of them was on Gaia. [This was at my school.] I did ask for all her sources of why she wanted to be anorexic.
-Models.
-Students calling her a Fat Cow.
-Her idol, Lindsey Lohan. [Don't ask me why a 14 year old likes her.]
I even asked if she was getting Cyber Bullied on Gaia. She told me no, and even showed me her friends, and they were really nice.
My health teacher may have been wrong, but many people don't like the way "Fat" people look. They think it's unattractive and disgusting how a human being can eat so much food and they turn out to this.
I'm going to suggest you take a mass communications class in college then. I know you're only 15, but honestly, I'm in one now. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, can harm a girl's self-esteem. And guys too, they're just as targeted as we are.
Your health "teacher" saying that about "fat" people, is appalling.
You can argue your high metabolism just as I can argue my hypothyroidism that gives me an excessively slow and weak metabolism. I'm on meds for it granted, I barely produce thyroid hormone and it can lead to quite a few health problems besides.
I'm not obese, but I am medically considered overweight.
Some people are not intelligent, nor strong enough, to determine what media is over reality. That's WHY some people think boys should be like Edward from Twilight, or rough and tough guys like Tyler Durden.
That's WHY some people think girls should be like Barbie (a physically impossible body shape), or like any of the women they see in advertisements, on tv, in movies, anywhere.
Everyone is targeted, and you might think you know enough to avoid this and that other people are stupid for believing what the media says people should look like, but honestly you're not. Nobody is. You can understand it, acknowledge it, but it'll still get to you. Even subconsciously. It's obvious with what you said about overweight people in the thing I quoted from you. If you didn't agree with it, you wouldn't have said it. The media never shows how some extremely famous people are "overweight".
Basketball players with their height are considered overweight, they eat a ton, they could exhibit all signs of being a "fat" person, and according to medicine, they're overweight. They only show fat people being the morbidly obese, greasy, disgusting looking person eating at McDonald's.
ANYWAYS: back on topic.
I have a full hourglass figure. (44-32-44)
I would LOVE a nice voluptuous woman, and I'm not interested in women. I would love to feel a little represented on the site, even if traditionally anime girls are supposed to be skinny. Changing it up every once in a while wouldn't be a bad thing, throw us a curve ball. You're not a manga company, you're an international website working out of the United States.
