Welcome to Gaia! ::

READ THIS FIRST:

I am not here to make moral judgments on the lives of our non-existent NPCs and how much they have sex. I have an issue with the REDESIGN of their clothing and bodies.

GAIA is NOT an anime. I don't care that most ANIME girls look thin. They can draw our NPCs however they like, they are not bound by the rules of ANIME which GAIA is not. Gaia's headquarters are in California. Gaia is not an animated series. The NPCs only have to be drawn ONCE not over thousands of frames, there is no excuse. They were thin before, and now they are even thinner. Their clothing and facial design changes result in a shift in their personality. I'm not just going to "get used to it." I'm going to speak out about it as long as there is a Site Feedback.

Moira is unreasonably thin. She was thin before, but now she has lost all of her curves. She also used to have a jacket, which has been reduced to an ugly hardgay sleeveless vest.

Sasha was always skinny, but now she is just skeletal. She looks like she is starving to death.

Ruby, once voluptuous, was a nice looking shop keeper, and sold hats. She wore a cute signature bonnet, now gone. Now she is wearing some thin nightgown and looking much like a boozy housewife trying to lure the pool boy into her bedroom.

Major Downgrades. All of them! You people should be ashamed. Skinnier does not mean better. Less clothing does not always mean better. They look cheap and coked out.

*more clothing does not always mean better either. Vanessa was the sassy one, and now she is bland and covered up. Consistency please!
I agree! Q_Q I want Moira's muscley stomach back. *nodnod*
Simply more pressure put upon young women to be unreasonably thin. Aren't we trying to undo this? Come on people, curves!
To the Sea! To the Sea!

I think Ruby's pretty. She's dressed up like an angel, so the "nightgown" is thematic.

No they should NOT be ashamed just because YOU can't tollerate change, this is a rare ocassion so I am going to say suck it up and deal with it, their not changing it back.

Hey, just a question here. What do you think "Site Feedback" means? If they only wanted compliments they would have named this section the "a** Kissing" forum.

feedback: The return of information about the result of a process or activity; an evaluative response

It's in the dictionary. Good day.

I really love the new art and new layout but I have to agree on the skinniness. Skinny does not equal better. ; I am actually quite pissed off with Gaia about this and I normally go with whatever they choose to do, but it seems as if they are promoting being skinny.

Expression aside, I don't see how that outfit is in any way sexualised.

As a self respecting artist, I would be ashamed of myself if I put out such disproportionate, effortless art, especially because it's so obvious.
As an example, take a gander at the quality of Vanessa's art. The shading and colours are well blended and smooth, her lines blend well to her form and don't pop off in a pixalated fashion off the background. Her body is not unhealthily thin, changed under the guise of 'age' and looks as anatomically correct as could be possible for such art.
In comparison to the pixilated line art of the rest, the painful, anorexic skinniness of Sasha and Moira(and hell, of Ruby), the simple cell shading and unblended colouring, it's obvious. The artist obviously took more time and effort and care with Vannessa, a single picture, than all the rest.
It makes the shops appear not only disjointed, but low quality, and in that, it's practically an insult.
Perhaps it's a little prima donna of me, but if that was my art, I would be demanding a pull back to give back either better quality, or a less disjointed look.
The skinny bodies have been determined to be a result of the New Artist's style. However some NPCs just don't look good in their new duds.

Wait, she didn't say she couldn't tollerate change?
All she is complaining about is how much thinner they have them looking.

Read the site guidlines, bashing the artist, and calling the characters whores does not count as feedback.

The artist has their own style, just because you don't appereciate another artists particular style doesn't meen that the artist should feel ashamed of their work.
I AGREE WITH ARROWS-SAMA!
