It looks great, it has to focus a tad on the forums. 3nodding

I really like it but I think the characters at the front are a little bit too plain. The girl is looking inappropriately at the guy? Well, it is PG-13 I suppose. And the guy has starter clothes on. Was that to include everyone?

Mention the forums. That's one of Gaia's main attractions. Don't mention something like the battle system though.

The two characters....they look a bit too old. Change them to an age like 16, the median age of all teenagers and that would be better.

It's probably a very good layout, more original than other places which mention everything on one page and make it look too cluttered.

Do the new page give a good overall aspect to what Gaia is? Yes. Pretty much.
Are the images too young or old? A little to old.
Does it make Gaia look too much like Neopets/Myspace/other sites? No.
Do the design look good? Layout problems? Yes they do. No not really.
Anything missing? What should we add or change? No.
Should we emphasize more on roleplaying/forum/games/items? Kinda.

in my opinion, the bottom area where the avatars are need work. it's too cluttered. if it were a moving image like gif or flash. the avatars could appear and disappear randomly. when they appear, they zoom in from small to regular size, and zoom out when they disappear.

I just don't like the fact that we only see a guy and a girl up front with random tiny people in back. I'd rather see a gang of friends doing different Gaia stuff like choosing what to wear, shopping, fishing, playing cards and chatting together.

I agree, that's actually a really good idea. :0 I can't say I'm that fond of the one-guy-and-one-girl-posing pattern of banners and stuff that seems so prevalent in Gaia. D: A bunch of people would make it seem more.. I dunno, friendly?

I like the new layout design. It looks good with the background of the avatar people talking, instead of just white screen.
I think there's too much white on the one now.

So something like that example one would look nice, and i think it would attract people to the site more, and make them want to join.

I like the more adult look, but I think the banners at the bottom look a bit crowded. Maybe a bit more disjointed would be better?

But it's a definate improvement over the current front page. 3nodding (If only we could get it for when we are logged in. . .)
