I have adblock, so i don't see what you're talking about. However, I don't see any popups on my phone either (although it doesn't run any flash based anythings), and my phone doesn't have an adblocker.

I keep Gaia whitelisted on my Adblock, but this makes it tempting to block all ads.

I think it's the roll over ads of the footer she's having an issue about.

If it's the footer, i have those ads blocked. They distract from the site, as do most of the other ads (and when it first came out, i kept rolling over them and they were entire PAGE ads that i couldn't figure out how to make go away).

Yeah the new footer adds are simply unbearable. I'm headed towards blocking all adds on the site now because of this.
