I was just wondering if anyone up at Gaia HQ was even aware of the current market rates/inflation? You release a a gold gen item for Gaia Cash, which gives laughable amounts of gold compared to the current rate, Way to rip people off. The MOST gold I got from the rig is 100 million. If I choose to spend money on Gaia, I expect it to be WORTHWHILE. Tossing out a RIG/Gold-gen that gives you millions while the economy is up into the multiBILLIONS is a crock of crap. What an absolute waste of money. Will NEVER be buying any gold-gens again until/unless they wake up and either FIX their economy or realize that they need to stop being stingy with the gold for those who pay real money to the site. -___-;;;;

Looks like this is a step in the right direction. Users have complained when Gold Generators give too much gold out as a prize, and rightly so since a Gold Generator that gives out a ton of gold is far more damaging to the economy than a Gold Generator that doesn't pump out nearly as much gold.

While I'd like for Gold Generators to stop being released completely, thank you Gaia for taking this small step towards helping the economy.

I always find it better to pick items. The Gaia Community Discussion forum usually has a list of the items within the RIG. I think I had a few items that sold for 700mil but otherwise it was a pretty good catch.

But if the payouts are that low and users are starting to be less interested in those amounts, maybe it would just be better to make them item only?

That's the problem, I don't LIKE the items in this RIG. I checked out the list and I'm not terribly impressed by any of them. I was hoping to get decent amounts of gold from it so I could start cleaning up my wishlist a bit, but I'm not going to be buying jack sh*t with the crappy payouts from this gold-gen. I wasn't kidding when I called it garbage. .___.;

You do realize that the reason the MP is inflated is BECAUSE of gold gens, right? People have been complaining for a year and a half for them to get rid of them and fix the inflation. And they slowly are by utilizing gold sinks and trying to wean people off of gold gens. Most CS items that have gold as an option lately have said "up to BILLIONS" instead of "up to TRILLIONS." The payouts being crap is a good thing. It will cause people to A: Realize it's not worth the money and they'll HOPEFULLY stop buying them and B: The market will slowly begin to deflate. Your best bet is to buy Limited Quantity Items and resell those.

As another well paying customer, I'm glad to hear it! Gold gens have been on the way out since we got our new GM and I am loving every second of it! With any luck, gold gen sales will be phased out entirely before too long, that's just what our economy needs to be able to start recovering heart

I think some gold gens ago, a particular one had really crappy pay outs. Bad for the buyer, but good for everyone else.

Yeah... don't waste your money on gold gens. Buy items instead. If you don't see any items you want, then don't buy anything.

But if you're looking for gold for items off your wishlist, your best bet is to buy popular items from the cash shop and sell it for gold. It's a much better bet and your likely to get a lot more gold.

As the above have said, Gaia is doing the right thing by nerfing the impact of gold gens. A Gaia Staff Member recently even said data has shown that the economy has shrunk by a good one third in recent months, which is a lot. Even though I enjoy investing in items and seeing them inflate so quick, the inflation was a major barrier to entry for users who don't have much gold, time, etc.

And no offense, but if gold gens were the way you wanted them to be, you probably wouldn't be able to get those wishlist items anyways seeing they would be massively inflated compared to their current values you see today.

This seems a** backwards. You aren't going to use this one because it doesn't give enough gold, until they fix their economy.

When hyperinflation was at its worst, gold generators that were being sold around then were advertised to be able to give trillions. Such items seem to be already being phased out, and with payouts drastically lowered to discourage their purchase.

Gold generators are what destroyed the economy in the first place. If we increase the gold output, we'll restart the cycle of hyperinflation and this would hurt both paying and non-paying users.

Even when the payouts were Trillions of gold, a user was NEVER guaranteed a payout of 1 trillion simply because the ad says "Up to a trillion gold"

This is how gambling is.

You get more gold from selling items anyway.
